IMPOUNDED in the Oamaru Pound on the 14th day of April, 1876, by Norman Lane, Oamaru,
1 red working Bullock, white face, branded like R H off rump,
for trespassing in his paddock and breaking a chaff cutter, for which 20s damage is claimed; owner unknown, and in default of being released the above bullock will be sold at the Oamaru Pound on Friday, the 5th day of May, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 11th day of April, 1876, by John Roche, Hayes’ Lake,
Red and White Heifer, no visible brands,
owner unknown, for trespassing on grass paddock and destroying my potato crop, for which £6 10s damages are claimed; and in default of being released the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Hayes’ Lake, on Friday, the 5th day of May, 1876, at 12 o’clock, noon.

UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO.

SESSION, 1876.

THE Matriculation Examination and the preliminary examination in general education for Students in Medicine will take place on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd May, commencing each day at 9 a.m.

Candidates intending to present themselves for examination must give in their names to the Registrar on or before the 28th April, and also state in what optional subjects they elect to be examined.

The classes will be opened on Thursday, the 4th of May.

Further particulars may be obtained on application.
