PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

In conformity to the 29th section of the “Gold Fields Act, 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Act Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Cromwell, on or before the 25th day of May, 1876.

Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Cromwell.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 30th day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.

SCHEDULE.

Charles Seymour on behalf of the Kiss-Me-Quick Company for sixteen acres of land more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated two miles south-east from Cromwell Quartz Mining Company.


NOTICE OF MEETING OF VOTERS IN THE WEST TAIERI RIVER DISTRICT

To Elect Persons to be the Board of Conservators of the said District.

JAMES MACANDREW, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue of the powers conferred on me by the “Management of Rivers Ordinance, 1870,” do hereby summon a general meeting of the voters of the West Taieri River District to be held on Saturday, the fifteenth day of April, 1876, at the hour of two o'clock in the afternoon, at the Court House at Outram, in the said River District, to elect from the persons qualified to vote at such meeting, a sufficient number of persons to form the Board of Conservators of the said river district.

SUTTON DISTRICT.

MONDAY, 10TH APRIL, 1876.

Notice is hereby given that Sections 11 and 12, Block 5, Sutton District, containing 452 acres, will be open for application at £1 per acre at the District Land Offices, Dunedin and Naseby, on Monday, the 10th April, 1876.

DEFERRED PAYMENTS.

WEDNESDAY, 26TH APRIL, 1876.

2,200 ACRES OF LAND FOR SALE ON DEFERRED PAYMENTS, IN THE CHATTON HUNDRED.

Notice is hereby given that the undermentioned sections will be open for application on deferred payments on Wednesday, the 26th day of April, 1876. Applicant must be made by the applicant in person, at any Land Office in the Province, and a deposit of 1s. 6d. per acre paid at the time of making the application, being the first half-year’s occupation fee. The purchase money is payable at the rate of 3s. per acre per annum for ten years.

Plans to be seen and lithographs obtained at the Land Offices at Dunedin, Invercargill, and at Lawrence.

Sections 13, 14, 17, 20, and 21, Block III, Chatton District; and Sections 1, 2, 6, 10, 13, and 16, Block IV., Chatton District.
