THREE POUNDS REWARD.

STRAYED, from Forbury, about the 20th of November, a Dark Bay HORSE; branded like hind fetlock white. Any person returning the same to Martin and Watson, Stuart-street, will receive the above reward.

IMPOUNDED on the 19th February, 1876, by Michael Green and Stephen Jefson—One black heifer, no visible brand, white star on head.

Owner unknown; for trespassing in Mr. J. Phillips’ paddock, Hawkesbury Bush, for which 15s. damages are claimed; and in default of being released the above heifer will be sold at the Public Pound at West Hawkesbury on the 17th day of March, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 1st day of March, 1876, by Mr. G. Perry—One brown gelding pony, black mark near shoulder, branded 2 on off shoulder;

Owner unknown; found trespassing on John Kerr’s paddock, Waikari, for which 7s. driving fees are claimed; and in default of being released the above pony will be sold at the Public Pound at South Dunedin, on Friday, 24th day of March, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED February 29th, 1876, by A. R. B. Thomson, Esq., Inspector, Clyde—One red and white bull, with no visible brands.

For running at large on the Clyde Commonage, for which 7s. is claimed for driving and mustering, and in default of the above-named bull not being released he will be sold on Friday, the 24th day of March, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon, at the Leaning Rock, Clyde Pound.

RUNNING in our Paddock since the Twenty-fifth day of December, 1875, One Bay Mare, no brands, six years old, two white hind feet, about fifteen hands high, no other marks, light saddle hack, shod all round. Owner can have her, by paying expenses, by applying to

LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.

MR. ROBERT SHORT, Land office, Dunedin, has been appointed to supply information as to settlement on the land, whether by immediate purchase, deferred payments, or under agricultural leases.

Mr. Short will show maps of the land and assist purchasers or selectors in making the necessary applications.

MISSING PERSON.

ENQUIRIES have been made at the Immigration Office, Dunedin, for one Archibald Watson, who sailed from Glasgow for Otago in the ship "Robert Henderson" in the year 1860. Any information respecting the above will be gladly received at the above office. Letters await him.

Fixing Tolls, Rates, and Charges for Passengers, etc., on certain Railways in the Province of Otago, in substitution of the Tolls, Fares, and Charges published in Gazette No. 4, of 27th January, 1876.

NORMANBY, GOVERNOR.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of February, 1876.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS certain lines of railway, as described in the First Schedule hereunder, have, under the provisions of "The Immigration and Public Works Act, 1870," and other Acts, been constructed by the Governor in the Province of Otago: And whereas an agreement has been made between the Governor and the Superintendent of the Province of Otago whereby the Governor has granted the right to work and maintain the said lines of railway to the Superintendent of the said province: And whereas the Superintendent of the said province has, in exercise and pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, made the tolls, fares, and charges for passengers, animals, carriages, goods, merchandise, minerals, articles, and things, in substitution of the tolls, fares, and charges published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 4, of twenty-seventh January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, and in exercise and pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby make, approve of, allow, and fix the tolls, fares, and charges for passengers, animals, carriages, goods, merchandise, minerals, articles, and things enumerated in the Second Schedule hereunder, for the said lines of railway mentioned in the said First Schedule, in substitution of the tolls, fares, and charges published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 4, of twenty-seventh January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.

Invercargill to Mataura Railway.—Invercargill to Mataura.

Winton to Kingston Railway.—Winton to Elbow.

Moeraki to Waitaki Railway.—Oamaru to Waitaki.

Dunedin to Clutha Railway.—Dunedin to Clutha.
