PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

I

N conformity to the 29th section of the "Gold Fields Act, 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Act Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Naseby, on or before the 24th day of March, 1876.

Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden's Office, at Naseby.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 3rd day of March, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.

SCHEDULE.

Andrew White, on behalf of himself and party, for ten acres of land more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situate at the Spur on the East side of Clark's Gully.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Certificate issued in favor of David Hunter Mervyn under the Agricultural Lease Regulations for Section 10, Block I., Teviot, has been cancelled at the request of the applicant, and the land is open for application under above-mentioned regulations.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Certificate issued in favor of George Hanson and Martin Wilson, for section 3, block 14, Shotover, has been cancelled, and the land is open for occupation by holders of Miners’ Rights, &c.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned persons have been allowed to withdraw their applications for Goldmining Leases of land at Bendigo, Wakefield District:

E. G. Haussen, for “Old Spur Quartz Mining Company,” 16 acres, situated at Bendigo Gully, a mile above Rise and Shine Company.

John S. Swan, for Great Extended Quartz Mining Company, 16 acres of land adjoining Daniels and Co.’s Prospecting Claim, Upper Bendigo on the East side.

And the land is now open for application under the Gold Mining Lease Regulations.
