TENDERS wanted by the Portobello Road Board for the following works:—
1st. About 3 Chains of Re-formation of Arthurs’ Seat Road. Mr. John Lewis will show works and specifications on 2nd of March, at 1 o’clock.
2nd. For about 20 Chains of Drains and Formation on Geary’s Road, Hooper’s Inlet. Mr. W. Geary will show the works and specifications on 2nd of March, at 1 o’clock.
3rd. For Quarrying, Carting, and Breaking about 100 yards, more or less, of Road Metal for Hooper’s Inlet Road. Mr. W. Dickson, jun., will show the work and specification on 2nd March, at 1 o’clock.
Tenders to be in not later than Saturday the 5th March, at 12 o’clock.

TUTURAU ROAD DISTRICT.
THE Tuturau Road Board invite Tenders for Contract No. 20—Pitching and other Improvements at Sam’s Grief.
Specifications may be seen at Messrs. McGibbons’ store, Mataura. Tenders must be lodged with the Chairman on or before Saturday, the 11th March, at noon.
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

SUPREME COURT CIRCUIT SITTING.
NOTICE is hereby given that a Circuit Court Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of criminal and civil business will be held in the Court House, at Lawrence, on Tuesday, the twenty-first day of March next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances or otherwise to appear as prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal and Civil Business will be held at the Supreme Court House at Dunedin, on Monday, the third day of April next, at the hour of Two o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, or witnesses are required to give their attendance.

CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF DUNEDIN.
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Assessment for the year ending 31st December, 1876, authorised by the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865,” and the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, 1872,” of all buildings, lands, tenements, and hereditaments within the City of Dunedin, according to the full, fair, and estimated annual rent at which the same might reasonably be expected to let from year to year, free of all usual tenants’ rates and taxes, and deducting therefrom the probable average annual cost of the repairs, insurance, and other expenses (if any) necessary to maintain the same in a state to command such rent, has been made.
Notice is further given that the said assessment having on the 15th day of February, 1876, been allowed by the Council of the said City, is now deposited, and may be daily inspected at my office, in Manse-street, in the said City, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.; on Saturdays, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., by any person interested therein.
And notice is further given that any appeals against the said assessment may be lodged at the City Council Chambers, Manse-street (where blank forms may be had), on or before 11th March, 1876; also, that a copy of each notice of appeal is required by law to be served not later than the 11th March next upon any person whose name it may be proposed to insert in the assessment, or whose property it may be alleged has been omitted therefrom, or assessed below its full, fair, and annual value.
A copy of each notice of appeal is also required to be delivered by the appellant to the Clerk of the District Court, at his office, Water-street, Dunedin, on or before the last-mentioned date.
