PROCLAMATION.

SETTING APART LAND IN THE TAPANUI HUNDRED, FOR OCCUPATION ON DEFERRED PAYMENTS.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by the 47th section of the Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council, to set apart in any part of the Province, districts or blocks of lands within which licenses to occupy land and leases thereof on deferred payments may be granted either exclusively or within which the land shall be open for license or lease on deferred payment, or for sale on immediate payment.

And whereas the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago has recommended the Superintendent of the said Province to set apart the lands hereinafter specified for alienation on deferred payments :

Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council as aforesaid, do hereby, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by "The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," and of every or any power in this behalf enabling me, proclaim, declare, and set apart all those sections numbered respectively 4, 11, 12, and 14, Block XIV., Crookston District, Tapanui Hundred, will be open on the 24th day of March, 1876, for application for license and lease, on deferred payment, as provided in the "Otago Waste Lands Acts, 1872."

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, this 22nd day of February, 1876.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

I, JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in the Superintendent of the Province of Otago in this behalf, by the "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1875," and of the powers vested in me as Superintendent of the Province of Otago, hereby proclaim and declare that all those roads and all those portions of roads in the Province of Otago, mentioned and referred to in the said "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1875," and particularly described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from and after the day of the date hereof, cease to be public roads or thoroughfares, and shall no longer form part of the public roads in the several Road Districts in the Province of Otago, mentioned in the Schedule to the said Ordinance.


SCHEDULE.

I.—Aparima Road District.

  1. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 6a. 3r. 21p. more or less being a road line situate in block X Jacob’s River Hundred bounded towards the north by section numbered 33 five thousand three hundred and fourteen (5314) links more or less and section numbered 34 one thousand five hundred and fifty-four (1554) links more or less and towards the south by section numbered 57 four thousand one hundred and thirty (4130) links more or less and section numbered 4 two thousand seven hundred and sixty-seven (2767) links more or less.

  2. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 5a. 3r. 30p. more or less being a road line situate in block X Jacob’s River Hundred bounded towards the east by section numbered 1 of aforesaid block X one thousand and thirty-three decimal seven (1033.7) links section 3 two thousand one hundred (2100) links section 4 two thousand one hundred and twenty-five (2125) links sections numbered respectively 4, 11, 12, and 14, Block XIV., Crookston District, Tapanui Hundred, will be part of section 5 one hundred (100) links towards the south by part of section 5 six hundred and seventy (670) links towards the west by a line running in a northerly direction one hundred (100) links towards the north by section 61 six hundred (600) links again on the west by section 61 two thousand one hundred and twenty-five (2125) links section 60 two thousand one hundred (2100) links section 1 one thousand and four (1004) links and towards the north by a public road one hundred and four (104) links.

  3. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 3a. or. 11p. more or less being a road line situate in block V New River Hundred bounded towards the north-west by parts of sections numbered 3 and 4 three thousand and sixty-eight (3068) links more or less and towards the south-east by other parts of said sections numbered 3 and 4 three thousand and sixty-eight (3068) links more or less.

  4. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 9a. 2r. 26p. more or less being a road line situate in the Jacob’s River Hundred bounded towards the north by section numbered 1
