SUPREME COURT.
NOTICE is hereby given, that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal and Civil business will be holden at the Supreme Court House, at Dunedin, on Monday, the 3rd day of January, next, at the hour of Ten o'clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

First Election of Councillors and Auditors for the year ensuing, 1st August, 1876.
NOTICE is hereby given that the nomination of candidates for election to the offices of Councillors and Auditors as above, for the Town of St. Kilda, will be declared on Tuesday, the 28th day of December instant, at the house of Mr. Roughton, Bay View Road, at the hour of 12 o'clock noon.
Nominations, in form of Schedule D of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865," may be lodged at the Town Clerk's Office, Queen's Drive, St. Kilda, on or before noon of the day herein fixed for the Declaration.
Two (2) Councillors to be elected for Park Ward.

NORMANBY, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by "The Immigration and Public Works Act, 1870," it is enacted that the Governor may, on the request of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of any province in which any proclaimed gold field is, cause to be constructed, completed, extended, repaired, or maintained, such works for supplying water to such gold field as he may from time to time think fit, and may enter into contracts for the construction, completion, or extension of such works, or for purchasing or otherwise acquiring any dams, water-races, reservoirs, or other works already constructed, which may appear to the Governor suitable for any such purpose aforesaid: And it is also thereby enacted, that whenever the Governor shall determine to construct any waterworks under the powers conferred by Part III. of the said Act, he shall from time to time, by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette, declare and specify the waterworks which he proposes to construct, and the lands and streams
