ROAD THROUGH KAITANGATA.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 4th January, 1876, for
Contract No. 1092.—Formation and metalling of Water street, Kaitangata.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and form of tender obtained at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Balclutha.
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Contract No. 1092." The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 11th January, 1876, for
Contract No. 1093.—Formation of 70 chains of road through Block 5, Tuapeka East District.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Lawrence.
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Contract No. 1093." The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

DUNEDIN LUNATIC ASYLUM.
TENDERS will be received until noon of Tuesday, 28th December, 1875, for the supply of the best Provincial made flour, brand or brands to be fixed upon from time to time by the Superintendent of the Asylum, at per sack of 200lbs, for the period of six months ending 30th June, 1876, and to be delivered at the Asylum Bakehouse, in quantities not less than 30 sacks at a time.
The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest or any tender.
TENDERS wanted for Fittings and Closets at Normal School. Plans and Specifications to be seen at Education Office, where tenders will be received up till Monday, the 27th inst.

N O T I C E.
A SUM of £1100 having been voted by the Provincial Council to assist in providing buildings to be used as Athenaeums in localities where no such buildings have as yet been erected.
It is hereby notified to those desirous of participating in the vote, that in order to do so it will be necessary to forward a written application, stating the amount collected, and giving a general description of the approximate cost of the building proposed to be erected. The sum voted will be distributed pro rata to the contributors of the district, provided in no case shall the contribution of the Government exceed the sum of £250 to any building.
Applications to be received at this office on or before the 1st day of March, 1876, after which date no further application for subsidy will be entertained during the current financial year.
