PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, at a Special Meet-
ing of the above-named Board, held on Saturday,
4th December, it was resolved to borrow the sum of
£500 for the North-East Harbour Subdivision, for the
purpose of paying liabilities and carrying on future
works.
It was also resolved to borrow £350 for the Toma-
hawk Subdivision for the same purpose.
Ratepayers objecting to the raising of these loans must
send in written objections to the Clerk before 12 o'clock
on Saturday, 8th January, 1876, when the Board will
hold a Special Meeting to consider the same.

TUTURAU ROAD DISTRICT.
TENDERS are invited for the following works:—
Contract No. 8.—Formation, &c., on Shanks'
road.
Contract No. 12.—Sundry works on Davidson's
and Shanks' Roads.
Contract No. 13.—Sundry works on Thomson's
Road.
Contract No. 14.—Sundry works on Crawford's
road, from Wairakika stream to the Main
South road.
Specifications for Nos. 12 and 13 may be seen now, and
14, when furnished by the District Engineer,
at the store of Messrs M'Gibbon and Sons, Mataura.
Tenders to be left at Mataura Post Office, or lodged
with the Chairman of the Board, on or before the 14th of
January, 1876.

the Chief Inspector of Sheep, Dunedin, until noon
of Tuesday, the 21st instant, for fencing Powder Maga-
zine Reserve, Portobello.

Office, Dunedin, or with Mr Thomson, Sheep Inspector,
Port Chalmers.

NOTICE.
To the owner or owners of Section No. 6, Block VII.,
Jacob's River Hundred.
TAKE Notice, that I require the boundary fence be-
tween the above section and Section No. 5, to
be erected. Said fence to be as follows, viz.:—Double
ditch and bank consisting of three sods, takes to be 8
feet apart, and two wires, with strainers at every 5
chains.
If not proceeded with after this notice it will be
erected, and the owner or owners of said section No. 6
will be held responsible for half the cost of said fence.

on Monday, the 20th day of December, 1875, at twelve
o'clock noon.

ber, a Dark Bay Saddle Mare, branded GC on off
shoulder.
Any person giving information of the whereabouts of

STRAYED from the Forbury about the 14th Novem-
ber, one Chesnut Draught Horse, star on forehead,
blemish on fore fetlocks; also Dark Bay Horse, one hind
foot white. Any person giving information of the where-
abouts of the same to Martin and Watson, Stuart
Street, will be rewarded. 2—4s 6d

STRAYED from Kaikorai, one Bay Horse, branded H
on near shoulder, no shoes on fore feet, blistered on
fore legs, had cover on.
One Pound reward will be paid for any information
that will lead to his recovery.
