15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26; sections num-
bered 29 to 97 both inclusive; sections numbered 99 to
113 both inclusive; and sections numbered 116 to 122
respectively; and also the sections in the various amend-
ing Ordinances substituted for sections 18, 27, and 78,
repealed.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

Sections of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordi-
nance, 1865," applicable to the Incorporated Town of
South Dunedin, with respective modifications set opposite
the numbers of the Sections.

NUMBERS OF SECTIONS. MODIFICATIONS.
Section Five The style shall be "The Corpora-

tion of the Town of South Dune-
din," instead of "The Corporation
of the City of Dunedin." |

THIRD SCHEDULE.

Boundaries of the Incorporated Town of South
Dunedin as delineated on the record maps of the said
town, deposited in the Survey Office, in Dunedin, in the
said Province.

All that parcel of land in the Province of Otago, in the
Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement
two hundred and fifty-three (253) acres and twenty-five
(25) poles, more or less, being the Town District, the
being sections numbered respectively one (1), two (2),
three (3), four (4), five (5), six (6), seven (7), twenty-two
(22), twenty-three (23), twenty-four (24), twenty-five (25),
twenty-six (26), twenty-seven (27), twenty-eight (28),
twenty-nine (29), thirty (30), thirty-one (31), thirty-two
(32), thirty-three (33), thirty-four (34), thirty-five (35),
thirty-six (36), and parts of sections numbered respec-
tively eight (8), forty-two (42), forty-three (43), forty-
four (44), forty-five (45), block seven (VII.), on the map
of the said District, bounded towards the north-east by
the Anderson's Bay Road, four thousand one hundred
and eighty (4180) links; towards the south-east by a line
extending along the centre of Bay View Road and Ken-
nedy Road five thousand two hundred and fifty (5250)
links; towards the south-west by section numbered 37
one thousand nine hundred and forty (1940) links;
again towards the south-east by sections numbered res-
pectively 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, and part of 46 three thousand
six hundred and ten (3610) links; again towards the
south-west by a road line two thousand (2000) links;
and towards the north-west by part of section numbered
13, block VI., and sections numbered respectively 21, 20,
19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, and 12, and part of section 8,
block seven (VII.), eight thousand and eighty (8080)
links, be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

FOURTH SCHEDULE.

NORTH WARD

Comprises all that area bounded towards the north-west
by the said Town Boundary; towards the north-east by
the centre of the Hillside Road; towards the south-east
by Macandrew Road; and towards the south-west by
the Forbury Road.

SOUTH WARD

Comprises all that area bounded towards the north-east
by the centre of Hillside Road; towards the south-east
by the centre of Kennedy Road; towards the south-west
by section numbered 37; and towards the north-west by
Macandrew Road.

EAST WARD.

Comprises all the remaining portion of the said Township.

Given under my hand, and issued under the
public seal of the Province of Otago,
at Dunedin, this seventh day of Decem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-five.

MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF SOUTH
DUNEDIN.

Appointment of Mr. John Henry Cooke to prepare
the Citizens' Roll for the incorporated Town of
South Dunedin.

WHEREAS the Town of South Dunedin was, by
Proclamation dated the 8th day of December,
and published in the Otago Government Gazette
No., 997 incorporated by the name of the "Cor-
poration of the Town of South Dunedin," and certain
provisions of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordi-
nance, 1865," were by such Proclamation, extended
to, and declared applicable to and within the Muni-
cipality thereby created: And whereas by the 117th
section of the said "Otago Municipal Corporations
Ordinance, 1865," it is amongst other things enacted
that for the purposes of the first elections under the
said Ordinance, Mayor, Councillors, and Auditors
for any town or place to which the provisions of the
said Ordinance, or any of them, should be extended
as therein provided, the Superintendent of Otago for
the time being should appoint some fit and proper
person to prepare the Citizens' Roll for such town
and places, the expense of which should be borne
and paid by the Council of the town or place elected
thereunder, for which any such Citizens' Roll should
be prepared: And whereas Mr. John Henry Cooke,
of South Dunedin, has been represented to me to
be a fit and proper person to prepare the Citizens'
Roll for the said incorporated town of South Dunedin :
Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent
of the Province of Otago, in exercise of the powers
vested in me by the said "Otago Municipal Corpora-
tions Ordinance, 1865," do nominate and appoint the
said

MR. JOHN HENRY COOKE,

to be the person to prepare the Citizens' Roll for the
said incorporated town of South Dunedin.

As witness my hand this seventh day of Decem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

WARRANT

Appointing an Officer for the Revision of the Citizens'
List and for other purposes in the Incorporated
Town of South Dunedin in the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Town of South Dunedin has been
incorporated under the provisions of the "Otago
Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865:" And
whereas by the 113th section of the said Ordinance,
it is amongst other things enacted that in cases where
no special provision is made for the conduct of the
first Elections under the said Ordinance, it should be
lawful for the Superintendent of Otago to appoint
such and so many persons as might be necessary to
perform any of the said acts in the said Ordinance,
before required to be done by the Mayor, Coun-
