points, branded JP joined on off shoulder. Last
seen on Anderson's Bay Road, near Gas Works. Apply

STRAYED into my paddocks, a Grey Filly, white face,
no visible brand. Owner can have the same by
paying expenses.

STRAYED from the Forbury about the 14th Novem-
ber, One Chesnut Draught Horse, star on forehead,
blemish on fore fetlocks; also Dark Bay Horse, one hind
foot white. Any person giving information of the where-
abouts of the same to Martin and Watson, Stuart
Street, will be rewarded.

STRAYED into my paddock at Harvey's Flat, West
Taieri, one roan bull, branded JFT on side. Unless
the same is claimed within 21 days from this date, it will
be sold to defray expenses.

NOTICE.

Grants to Municipalities and Road Boards.

Treasury, Wellington, 30th October, 1875.

WITH a view to the application of the sum granted
for the current year to Municipalities and Road
Boards, it is requested that returns showing the amount
actually received by each Municipality or Road Board
during its last past financial year, in respect of rates
levied for that period, may be forwarded without delay
to the Provincial Auditor of the Province. Such returns
must be made on forms to be obtained from the Pro-
vincial Auditor, and must be verified by the solemn de-
claration of the Mayor of the Municipality or the Chair-
man of the Road Board, as the case may be.
