- All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 4a. 1r. 13p. more or less; being a road line situate in block V Waitahuna East Survey District bounded towards the north-west by parts of sections numbered 13 6 5 and 65 eight thousand six hundred and sixty-two (8,662) links more or less and towards the south-east by other parts of said sections numbered 13 6 5 and 65 eight thousand six hundred and sixty-two (8,662) link more or less.
Plan to be seen at the School-house, Havelock.

N O T I C E.
SUM of £1100 having been voted by the Provincial Council to assist in providing buildings to be used as Athenæums in localities where no such buildings have as yet been erected.
It is hereby notified to those desirous of participating in the vote, that in order to do so it will be necessary to forward a written application, stating the amount collected, and giving a general description of the approximate cost of the building proposed to be erected. The sum voted will be distributed pro rata to the contributors of the district, provided that in no case shall the contribution of the district exceed the sum of £250 to any building.
Applications to be received at this office on or before the 1st day of March, 1876, after which date no further application for subsidy will be entertained during the current financial year.

In the matter of the "Highways Boards Empowering Act, 1871," and of an Order made by the Makarewa Road Board for opening up of roads.
UNDER and by virtue of the provisions of section 33, of the "Highways Boards Empowering Act, 1871," I, JAMES MACANDREW, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint and fix Friday, the 17th day of December, 1875, at the hour of noon, at the Superintendent's Office, in the Provincial Government Buildings, at Dunedin, as and to the time and place for taking into consideration an Order made by the Makarewa Road Board, on the 18th day of August, 1875, and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 982, on the 1st day of September, 1875.

2nd Contract, 1078.—Construction and metalling of about 16 Chains of Road, near Henderson's, known as Burgh's Cutting.
LOWER TO UPPER OWAKE FLAT.
Contract No. 1079.—Construction of about 30 Chains Road between Lower and Upper Owake Flat.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at Sutherland's Catlin's River Hotel.
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Contract No. 1076 to 1079," as the case may be.
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 30th November, for
Contract No. 1080.—Construction of Timber Bridge over Wairuna Creek, Old Lake Road, in block II, Pomahaka.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Tapanui.
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Contract No. 1080."
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Contract No. 1081.—Construction of a stone and timber Bridge over the Upper Kyeburn.

Contract No. 1082.—Gravelling 180 chains road, Tuapeka to Teviot, in block I, Beaumont District.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Lawrence.

The Forage, Potato, Flour for Asylum, and Bread Contracts may be terminated at half-year, by either party giving a month's previous notice:—
