NOTICE

Of certain land in the Province of Otago, having been set apart as an endowment for the Oamaru Mechanics' Institute.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Sectiou 160 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be set apart as a site for an endowment for the Oamaru Mechanics' Institute; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the land hereinafter described, a Reserve for an endowment for the Oamaru Mechanics' Institute; (that is to say)—

Sections 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35, block IX Wyndham District.

NOTICE

Of certain land in the Province of Otago, having been set apart as an endowment for Cromwell Public Library.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 160 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be set apart as a reserve for an endowment for Cromwell Public Library; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the land hereinafter described a reserve for recreation for an endowment for Cromwell Public library (that is to say)—

All that parcel of land in the Province of Otago, in the colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement two hundred and seventy-five (275) acres three (3) roods and twenty-four (24) poles, more or less, being section numbered sixteen (16) block III Cromwell district, together with section numbered eleven (11) block V, Wakefield district, bounded towards the north-east by crown lands five hundred and thirty-six (536) links, towards the east by a road line one thousand one hundred and ninety-six (1196) links, ten thousand seven hundred and eighty-four (10,784) links, and four thousand nine hundred and ninety-six (4996) links; towards the south-west by crown lands five thousand seven hundred and fifty-four (5754) links, and towards the west and north-west by a road line ten thousand seven hundred and eighty-seven (10,787) links, and one thousand three hundred and sixty-nine (1369) links, and intersected by two (2) road lines, each one hundred (100) links wide, be set apart as an endowment for the Cromwell Public Library.

NOTICE.—Whereas it is intended to stop up these Roads and portions of Roads which are severally described in the Schedule hereunder written, and are delineated on the maps or plans mentioned and referred to in the "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1875, Session XXXIV.," copies of which maps or plans, so far as they relate to the particular roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in the Road District specified in the Schedule, have been deposited at the public school mentioned immediately after the description of the respective roads, or portions of roads, intended to be stopped
