NOTICE.
9 ACRES of Land, being the island in the Oreti
River, situated between sections 29 and 27, block
IV, Winton Hundred, will be sold by auction at noon
on Thursday, the 18th November, at the Land Office,
Invercargill. Upset price, £2 per acre.

LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
PERSONS desirous of selecting Land, either for im-
mediate purchase or for occupation on deferred
payments, or under the Agricultural Lease Regulations,
will, on application to Mr. Robert Short, at the Land
Office, Dunedin, be supplied with all the information
they may require as to what land is open for sale or
occupation, and the terms upon which it may be acquired.
Mr. Robert Short will shew maps of the land, and
assist purchasers or selectors in making the necessary
applications.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that all persons desirous
of depasturing Cattle on any Crown Lands within
the Hundreds, or of voting for Wardens for the year
1876, must apply, and lodge a vote, before the
1st day of December next, with either of the Rangers for
the Hundreds, from whom printed forms of returns may
be had on application, or at the Waste Lands Board
Office, Dunedin, in terms of clause 105, "Waste Land
Act, 1872."

NOTICE is hereby Given, that an application, under
the 47th, &c., sections of the "Otago Waste Land
Act, 1872, has been received from Francis Woodhouse,
for section 5, block III, Teviot District, and that Tues-
day, the 16th November next is the day appointed for
deciding such application, if unopposed, and notifying
the objections (if any).

PUBLIC LIBRARIES.
A LARGE and valuable assortment of Public Library
Books will be ready for distribution shortly. A
list of the books is in course of preparation. As this list
will exhaust the supply from Britain for the present,
Library Committees and Settlers in localities not yet pro-
vided with a Public Library, are advised to avail them-
selves of this opportunity of obtaining the advantages
offered by the Provincial Government Public Library
Scheme.

Printed Catalogues of books, and other information,
will be furnished on application.

OAMARU GRAMMAR SCHOOL.
SCHOOLMISTRESS WANTED.
APPLICATIONS are invited, up to the 30th of
November, for the situation of Infant School-
mistress—salary, £115 per annum. Applicants must be
prepared to enter on their duties on 15th January, 1876.

A SCHOOLMASTER is required for the newly
established School at Fortrose. Salary: £60,
school fees, residence, and ten acres globe. Thirty pupils
guaranteed.—Preference will be given to a married man,
whose wife, or himself, would undertake to instruct chil-
dren whose parents may desire it in vocal and instru-
mental music; for which extra remuneration will be
given. Duties to commence at the expiration of the
Christmas vacation.
