situate within a distance of sixty feet from the nearest boundary line of any of the said streets.

All such parts of sections 1 to 5 (both inclusive) block XXII or any of them (bounded on any side or end thereof by Dee street, Thames street, or Ribble street) as are situate within a distance of sixty feet from the nearest boundary line of any of the said streets.

No chimney shaft or flue within the town of Oamaru shall be constructed altered repaired or renewed except with stone or brick.

No. 4.—"A Regulation as to making and keeping of stacking hay, corn, or straw, &c., within the town of Oamaru."

Made under the authority of section 3 subdivision 2 Part VII of the 13th schedule of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, for prescribing the distance from any adjoining land or from any building within which it shall not be lawful to make or keep any stack of hay, corn, or straw, or other produce, if not placed under roof or cover, and the like when placed under roof or cover.

It shall not be lawful to make or keep any stack of hay, corn, or straw, in the open air at a less distance than thirty feet from any building and street line, and from the land of any adjoining owner. Stables and buildings, where any stack of hay, corn, or straw is kept, to have an iron or slate roof, to be at least 20 feet from any other building unless the walls are of stone or brick.

No. 5.—"A Regulation as to keeping of Swine," made under the authority of section 1, subdivision 1, part VIII, of the 13th schedule of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867.

It shall not be lawful to keep any swine within the following blocks, viz.—Blocks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 37, 38, and Herstlet's claim.

The foregoing Regulations were respectively passed, and confirmed, and sealed, with the common seal of the Municipal Corporation of the Town of Oamaru, at a special meeting of the said Corporation, held on the nineteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

The foregoing Regulations (sealed with the common seal of the Corporation of the Incorporated Town of Oamaru) were sent to me, the Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, on the eighth day of September, 1875, and have not been disallowed by me, the said Deputy-Superintendent, within the period of one month, mentioned in section numbered 191 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," and I hereby approve of and allow the said regulations.

CORPORATION OF GREEN ISLAND.

A COURT for the Revision of the Citizen's Roll of the incorporated town of "Green Island" will be held in the Commercial Room of the "Rose, Shamrock, and Thistle" Hotel on Wednesday, 20th October, 1875, at 12 o'clock noon, as required by sections 11, 40, 41 and 42, of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865."

KAIKORAI ROAD DISTRICT.

RATEPAYERS in the above District are hereby notified, that a general rate of 1s in the £, in both Subdivisions, was made by the Board on October 5th, for the year ending June 30th, 1876. Any objections to the above rate must be lodged with me in writing on or before Thursday, 4th November, at 12 o'clock, when the Board will meet at Ross's Commercial Hotel, to consider objections.

TAIERI ROAD BOARD.

THE Taieri Road Board intend at their meeting on Saturday, 6th November, 1875, to make a general rate of Sixpence (6d.) in the £ on the full net annual value of rateable property within the District, for the year ending 30th June, 1876.

The rate book, containing the several valuations of property in the District, can be seen at the Clerk's office, Mosgiel, until 12 o'clock noon on 6th November, 1875, where objections must be lodged not later than said hour and date.

All rates unpaid on December 31, 1875, will be sued for without further notice.
