NOTICE.

THE Tuturau Road Board invite tenders for the following works, :—

CONTRACTS—

No. 2.—Formation and gravelling of 24 chains of Crawford's road, near Mataura Township.

No. 3.—Formation and gravelling of 15 chains of road through Native Reserve.

No. 5.—Sundry works on road near Mr A. Cameron's.

No. 6.—Formation of 17 chains of Cubbin's road, near Mr Hastie's.

No. 7.—Various works on Crawford's road, from Mr F. M'Kay's property to Turnbull's Creek.

No. 9.—Formation and gravelling of 52 chains of Galt's road

No. 10.—Sundry works on Cubbin's road, near Mr Hastie's.

No. 11.—Formation and gravelling, &c., of portion of road near Mr Crombie's.

Specifications of the above works may be seen on application at the Store of Messrs. M'Gibbon and Son's, Mataura.

Tenders must be accompanied by a deposit of 5 per cent. on the amount of offer, and forwarded either to the office of the Board or to Mataura Post Office, on or before the 29th October, 1875. They should also be indorsed "Tender," and addressed "J. S. Shanks, Esq., Chairman, Tuturau Road Board."

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

NOTICE.

THE South Molyneux Road Board intend, at their meeting to be held on Thursday, 27th October next, to levy a general rate of 1s in the £ on the full nett annual value of all rateable property within the district, for the year ending 30th June, 1876. Also a special rate of 1s in the £, in the Ahuriri Subdivision; 1s in the £ in the Catlin's River Subdivision; 6d in the £ in the Puerua Subdivision; 1s in the £ in the Puerua Subdivision; and 3d in the £ in the Waitepeka Subdivision of the above district.

The Rate Book lies for inspection by ratepayers at the Board's office.

CLUTHA DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that a General Rate of 1s in the £, and a Special Rate of 3d. in the £, on rateable property throughout the Eastern and Western Subdivisions of the District, were made by the Board on 18th September, 1875, in pursuance of previous notice.

The Collector will make a personal application for payment, on or about 20th October, on those ratepayers whose rates are then outstanding; after which legal proceedings will be taken against defaulters without further notice.

BLUESKIN DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby Given to the Ratepayers in the above District, that a general rate of 1s in the £ was made on 27th September, on all rateable property in the Blueskin District, for the year ending the 30th June, 1876. Ratepayers having any objection to the above assessment are hereby notified that the day for hearing and disposing of appeals is fixed for the 25th of October, at 12 o'clock noon.

The Rate Roll for the respective Subdivisions may be inspected in the following place, viz.:—

Deborah Bay Subdivision, in Mr Kettle's Store, Port Chalmers.

Purakanui Subdivision, in Mr Swanston's house.

Waitati Subdivision, in Mr Quayle's Store.

Section 65, Sub-section 1.

TENTH SCHEDULE.

District of Naseby, 22nd Sept. 1875.
To the District Land Officer at Naseby.

WE hereby give Notice that we intend to construct a water race for irrigation, commencing at a point in the Manuherikia river, three miles above our home station, and terminating at our home station.

The length of such water race is three miles, or thereabouts, and its intended course is from north to south.

The mean depth and breadth of such water race is 2 feet by 1 foot, and it is capable of carrying 2 heads of water.

TENTH SCHEDULE.

District of Dunstan, September 29, 1875.
To the District Land Officer at Clyde.

I HEREBY give Notice, that I intend to construct a water race for domestic and irrigation purposes, commencing at a point in Dairy Creek, Cooper's Gully, below Mr Holden's house, and terminating at my Agricultural lease.

The length of such water race is half a mile, or thereabouts, and its intended course is north and south.

The mean depth and breadth of such water race is 14 inches by 12 inches, and it is capable of one sluice head of water.

To Alexander Fraser, of Gray's Flat, Tuapeka, occupier and owner of Sections 9 and 33, Block V., Tuapeka East.

TAKE NOTICE, that I desire that the boundary or separating fence between Section 31, block V., Tuapeka East, and sections 9 and 33 of the said block, be made immediately; and that such fence shall be sod wall, bank, or dyke, two feet six inches high, with a base of three feet, and ditches on each side two feet nine inches wide by two feet deep, 6ft long sunk two feet in the ground, and placed twelve feet apart, having three wires.
