[The following Proclamation supersedes the first Proclamation on page 445 of Gazette dated September 15th, 1875.]
PROCLAMATION
By His Honor George Turnbull, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by section 7 of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1874," it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, to alter the boundaries, and to increase or diminish the area of any road district : and whereas, the Provincial Council have recommended that a portion of the Makarewa Road District be joined to the Mabel Sub-division of the Lindhurst Road District :
Now, therefore, I, George Turnbull, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby, under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the said Ordinance, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Mabel Sub-division of the Lindhurst Road District and of the Makarewa Road District are hereby altered as follows :β
The Mabel Sub-division of the Lindhurst Road District shall comprise all that area, bounded on the north-west and north by the Makarewa River, a line, being the continuation of the north boundary of section 190, Forest Hill District; continued east from the Makarewa River 174 chains; thence by a line running north 200 chains; thence by a line at a bearing of 45 degrees to the east boundary of the Makarewa Road District; towards the east by the Waimuma Sub-division of the Lindhurst Road District; towards the south-east by the Lothian Sub-division of Oteramika Road District; and towards the south-west by the Myross Sub-division of the Lindhurst Road District.
The Makarewa Road District shall comprise all that area bounded by a line proceeding from a point on the Ocean Beach due east to the Oreti River to the junction of the Makarewa, thence by the Oreti River to the boundary of the Oreti Electoral District, thence in an easterly direction along the said boundary to a point due north from the western boundary of Block I. Lindhurst Survey District, thence due south to a line being the north-west boundary of the Mabel Sub-division of the Lindhurst Road District to the Makarewa River, thence south-westerly along the said river to the eastern boundary of Block XIII. Invercargill Survey District, thence due south to the Waiopai River, thence westerly along the said Waiopai River, and the western shore of New River Estuary to the Ocean, thence north-westerly along the Ocean Beach to the starting point.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this 28th day of September, 1875.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Provincial Government Buildings, Dunedin, this seventeenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.
Present :
HIS HONOR GEORGE TURNBULL, DEPUTY-SUPERINTENDENT,
JOHN DAVIE, ESQUIRE, and
JAMES GREEN, ESQUIRE.
WHEREAS by section 5 of "The Otago Dock Trust Ordinance, 1865, Repeal Ordinance, 1874," it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent from time to time, to make, alter, and revoke all such Bye-laws as may appear to be necessary for the due and proper management and working of the Dock constructed by the Otago Dock Board, and to affix any penalty not exceeding the sum of fifty pounds (Β£50), to the breach of any Bye-law, and the Superintendent may in and by any Bye-law fix and determine the amount of dues to be charged on all ships and vessels making use of the said Dock : Now therefore, His Honor the Deputy-Superintendent, in pursuance of the provisions of the said Ordinance, and in exercise of the powers and authority enabling him in that behalf and with the advice and consent of his Executive Council, doth hereby revoke the Bye-laws passed by the Otago Dock Board, on the twenty-seventh day of October, 1871,
