HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has received and accepted the resignation of
JOHN THEODORE BOYD, ESQUIRE,
as Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT APPOINTED.
PROCLAMATION
Appointing GEORGE TURNBULL, Esquire, to be Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled the "Superintendent's Deputy Act, 1866," it is amongst other things enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of any Province, by Proclamation to be published in the Government Gazette of such Province, to appoint such person as he may think fit, being an inhabitant of such Province, and being registered as an elector on the Electoral Roll of some Electoral District within such Province, to be his Deputy, and as such to do, perform, and exercise all the acts, powers, and authorities (except as is excepted in the seventh clause of the said Act) which may be done, performed, or exercised by such Superintendent, or such of them only as shall be specified in such Proclamation :
And whereas it is expedient that a Deputy Superintendent should be appointed under the provisions of the said Act.
Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the said Province of Otago, do hereby proclaim and declare that I do hereby appoint
GEORGE TURNBULL, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, Esquire
(he being an inhabitant of the said Province of Otago and being registered as an elector on the Electoral Roll of the District of Dunedin, within the said Province of Otago), and as to be my Deputy, and as such to do, perform, and exercise all the acts, powers, and authorities (except as is excepted in the seventh clause of the said Act) which may be done, performed or exercised by me as Superintendent of the said Province as aforesaid.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this twentieth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS a Proclamation, dated the 11th day of July, 1874, has been published in the Provincial Gazette, setting apart for occupation on deferred payments 1080 acres of land, of which all that parcel of land in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement 570 acres, more or less, situate in the Eyre District, being part of Run numbered 214; bounded towards the north by the other part of deferred payment block, 2000
