OTAGO
PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

PROCLAMATION
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by Section 30 of the "Marine Act, 1867," it is provided that the Superintendent of a Province may from time to time impose and levy rates, dues, and charges for the use of docks, wharves, piers, and jetties, and for the landing of goods, wares, and merchandise thereat and thereon :
And whereas it is expedient to levy rates, dues, and charges for the use of the Railway piers and jetties at Port Chalmers, now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the consent of the Executive Council of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the said Act, do hereby make, ordain, appoint and declare that the rates, dues, and charges specified in the Schedule hereto shall be chargeable on all goods, wares, and merchandise landed at the Railway piers and jetties at Port Chalmers, and do appoint the Otago Harbour Board to receive, collect, and recover the said rates, dues, and charges :
SCHEDULE.
Imports.—All goods, produce, or other cargo ... 1s. per ton
Exports.—Wool ... 6d. per bale
" All other goods exported beyond the Colony ... 6d. per ton
Transhipments.—All goods or produce transhipped to other Ports half the above rates.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the said Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.
