SCHEDULE.
Dab Kam on behalf of the Rip and Tear Company for 3a. 2r. 16p. of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated on the east side of the Shotover River.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN conformity to the 29th section of the "Gold Fields Act, 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act, and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Act of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases, for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown, on or before the 18th day of June, 1875.

Of the Establishment of a Pound in the Mataura District, known as Edondale Pound.
NOTICE is hereby Given, that by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Impounding Ordinance, 1872, I have established a Pound, known as Edendale Pound, situate at Edendale, Mataura District, in the Province of Otago, and that I have appointed
Mr. WILLIAM L. TAYLOR,
Of Edendale Station, Mataura District, in the Province of Otago, and Colony of New Zealand, to be keeper of the said Pound.

[The following is published for general information.
NO Person shall take, kill or pursue, or use any dog, gun, net, or other engine, for the purpose of taking or killing, or pursuing any game, until such person shall have taken out a license to kill game under this Act, and paid the duty hereby made payable thereon; and if any person shall offend against the provisions of this Section, he shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding twenty pounds.—Section 16 of the "Protection of Animals Act, 1873."
The above License can be obtained at the Provincial Treasury, Dunedin, where above fees will be received, and license issued.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Lands and Works, until noon of Tuesday, the 8th June, for—
Contract, No. 1033.—Construction of Stone and Timber Bridge over Waimumu River, on road Mataura Bridge to Invercargill.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Mataura Bridge.
Tenders to be indorsed "Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 1033."
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 8th June, 1875, for—
Contract No. 1034.—Erection of District Engineer's Office, at Palmerston.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Palmerston.
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Contract No. 1034."
