EDUCATION BOARD.

THE Monthly Meeting of the Education Board will be held in the Government Offices, Dunedin, on Monday, the 12th inst., at noon.

BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL, DUNEDIN.

THE SECOND QUARTER will begin on the 19th April.

Fee: £2 per Quarter, payable in advance.

The Rector, Mr. WILLIAM NORRIE, M.A., will arrive in the course of a few days, and arrangements will be made for receiving PUPIL BOARDERS at the Rectory, at the beginning of the Quarter, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The charges for Board, including washing and tutorial assistance, is £40 per annum.

UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO.

SCOTT SCHOLARSHIP.

THE Competition for the Scott Scholarship will take place on the 1st of May.

The subjects for examination will be as follow:—
I. English, to which special prominence will be given.
II. Latin.
III. Arithmetic.
In addition to the above, each candidate will also be examined in not more than two of the following voluntary subjects:—Greek, one Modern Language, Geometry and Algebra, Chemistry and Physical Science, Geography and History.

The Scholarship is tenable for three years, and the value of £20 per annum.

The names of competitors must be sent to the Registrar on or before the 28th of April, together with a notification of the voluntary subjects selected. 2-14s

TEACHER WANTED, for Wild Bush School, near Riverton. Salary, Government allowance, £60 per annum, and School Fees, with £25 added for this year. Applications, with testimonials, to be sent to the undersigned, on or before the 15th April 1875.

TEACHER Wanted, for Main District, Kaihiku. Salary: Government subsidy of £100 and School Fees, amounting to over £50. There is a good dwelling-house, with ten acres of land enclosed.

Applications, with testimonials, to be lodged with the undersigned not later than the 22nd April, 1875.

WANTED, a TEACHER, for the One Tree Point School. Salary—Government Subsidy £60, and school fees. A new schoolhouse is in course of erection, and the present building is to be converted into a schoolmaster's residence, which will have three acres of land attached. Applications, with testimonials, to be sent to Mr. A. Smith, Chairman of School Committee, One Tree Point, on or before the 1st of May. 4t.

TENDERS wanted for Additions in Stone to the Provincial Government Schools, Albany street. To be deposited in the Government Tender Box, by noon on Tuesday, 13th April
