ORDER IN COUNCIL.
Setting apart 1,582 Acres of Land in the Herriot Hundred for occupation on deferred payment.
At the Provincial Government Buildings, Dunedin, this 19th day of February, 1875;
Present—His Honor the Superintendent; Donald Reid, George Turnbull, and Robert Stout, Esquires.
PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the 47th section of the Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council, to set apart in any part of the Province, districts or blocks of land within which leases to occupy land and leases thereof on deferred payments may be granted either exclusively or within which the land shall be open for licence or lease on deferred payment, or for sale on immediate payment.
And whereas the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago has recommended the Superintendent of the said Province to set apart the lands hereinafter specified for alienation on deferred payments:
Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council as aforesaid, do hereby, by virtue and in exercise of the power conferred upon me by "The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," and of every or any power in this behalf enabling me, proclaim, declare, and set apart all that district called Blocks IV. and V., Greenvale District, as a District within which the land shall be open for licence or lease as aforesaid, or for sale on immediate payment; and I do further by virtue of the aforesaid powers proclaim and declare that those sections numbered respectively 1, 8, 11, 13, 23, and 25, block V., and sections 16, 22, 23, 24, 26, and 30, block IV., on the map of the said District, will be open on the 13th day of April, 1875, for application for license and lease, on deferred payment as provided in the Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, this 9th day of March, 1875.

WHEREAS by Proclamation bearing date the 3rd day of June, 1868, made by the Superintendent of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, and published in the Otago Provincial Gazette, No. 553, under the hand of the said Superintendent of the Province of Otago, and under the public seal of the said Province, certain regulations were made for the depasturing of stock upon the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Otago Gold Field: And whereas by Proclamation bearing date the 6th day of October, 1868, made by the Superintendent of the Province of Otago as aforesaid, and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 572, as aforesaid, the said regulations of the 23rd June, 1868, were altered and amended: And whereas by Order in Council bearing date the 10th day of September, 1873, made by John Theodore Thomas Boyd, Esquire, Deputy Superintendent for the time being of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, the said regulations were further altered and amended: And whereas it is expedient to further amend the said Regulations, in so far as they relate to the Wakatipu District:
Now, therefore, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province doth, by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to the Executive Government of the Province of Otago in that behalf, hereby revoke the Regulations 1 and 2 made under the said Order in Council bearing date the 10th day of September, 1873, by which regulations numbered 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, of the said Regulations of the 23rd day of June, 1868, were revoked, and regulations numbered 13 and 16 of the said regulations were amended so far as the same apply to the said Wakatipu District, and doth make the regulations following in lieu thereof, as regards the said Wakatipu District, (that is to say) of regulations.
