ABSTRACTS from previous Gazette of Impounding Notices

Friday, 29th January, noon.

A Mare will be sold at Hampden Pound.
A Horse and three Mares will be sold at Oamaru Pound.
A Horse will be sold at Glenkenich Pound.

IMPOUNDED, on January 11th, 1875, by William Insley, Spring Vale Farm,
1 yellow and white heifer, no visible brands.
For which three shillings and sixpence is claimed, and in default of the above named heifer being released, she will be sold on Friday, the 5th day of February, 1875, at 12 o’clock noon, at the Leaning Rock Clyde Pound.

IMPOUNDED, on the 9th day of January, 1875, by order of Mr. H. Nurse,
1 bay gelding branded H off shoulder, U on near hip, owner unknown, for trespassing on Blackwater estate, for which 22s is claimed for trespass and driving, and in default of being released, the above horse will be sold at the Public Pound at Islabank on Friday, the 5th day of February, 1875, at twelve o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 3rd day of January, 1875, by Sergeant Tichener,
1 strawberry bullock, branded like GK joined off rib, ear marked, and off horn growing into his cheek; also 1 yellow and white heifer, no visible brand.
Owners unknown, for trespassing on township, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Lawrence, on the 29th day of January, 1875, at 12 o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 11th day of January, 1875, by John Douglas, Esq., Mount Royal,
1 chestnut horse, small star on forehead, shod all round, no visible brand.
Owner unknown, for trespassing on Mount Royal estate, for which one pound trespass and driving expenses are claimed and in default of being released, the above horse will be sold at the Public Pound at Palmerston on Friday, the 5th day of February, 1875, at twelve o’clock noon.

OMARU POUND.—The bay mare branded G H near shoulder, also the brown saddle mare, no brand, advertised in last week’s Gazette to be sold in the Oamaru Pound on the 20th inst., is claimed by David Thomson, Waitaki.

POUNDKEEPERS who have not made their quarterly return to the Provincial Treasurer are reminded that the Impounding Ordinance contains a penalty for such neglect.

REGISTRATION Forms may be obtained gratis from any of the Registration Offices throughout the Province, also at the Superintendent’s Office, Dunedin.

GAZETTE.—Except notices from Road Boards, respecting which there is a special arrangement, and notices connected with education, which are not charged for, all other matter must be paid for before the same is inserted in the Gazette.

Threshing Machines subject to the provisions of “The Inspection of Machinery Act, 1874.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of December, 1874.

Present:
His Excellency THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT.

WHEREAS by the 10th section of “The Inspection of Machinery Act, 1874,” (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act,”) it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor, by Order in Council published in the New Zealand Gazette, may from time to time declare that any other kinds of machinery than the kinds mentioned in the First Schedule to the said Act shall be machinery subject to the provisions of the said Act, and in any such case, and from and after a date to be fixed by such Order in Council.
