Section 65, Sub-section 1.
TENTH SCHEDULE.
District of Queenstown, December 31, 1874.
To the District Land Officer at Queenstown.
WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a Water Race for the purpose of driving machinery — flour mill and chaff cutting — commencing at a point on Home Creek (the main source of the Ariel Race), about 200 yards above Michael John Madaghan’s paddock (part of Section 12, Block XX., Shotover District), and terminating on Section number 10, Block XX, Shotover District.
The length of such race is about three-quarters of a mile, or thereabouts, and its intended course is north and south, and will run through Crown lands and through private lands belonging to us, the said Robert Markland, Alexander McGillivray, and William McGillivray.
The mean depth and breadth of such race is 2 feet by 18 inches, and it is capable of carrying two sluice heads of water.

To the District Land Officer at Naseby.
I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that I intend to construct a water race and dam for irrigation and gardening purposes, the water race commencing at a point in Wet Gully, Naseby, near the Surprise Water Race Company’s fluming, and terminating on the east side of my residence area No. 2208. The dam is situated on the east side of the said residence area; length of dam bank, sixty feet; greatest height, five feet; greatest breadth of base, six feet; area of reservoir, one-eighth of an acre.
The length of such race is 300 yards, or thereabouts, and its intended course is north and south.
The mean depth and breadth of such race is 2 feet wide by one foot in depth, and it is capable of carrying one sluice head of water.

To the District Land Officer at Clyde.
I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that I intend to construct a Water Race for domestic and irrigating purposes, commencing at a point in Coal Creek, on section 49, block I., Cairn Hill, passing through part of same, through corner of section 50, also through sections 51, 18, and 19, and terminating in said Creek, near main road.
The length of such water race is one mile or thereabouts, and its intended course is nearly WNW. by ESE.
The mean depth and breadth of such race is 9 by 18 inches, and is capable of carrying one sluice head of water.
