PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
No seals shall be taken, hunted, shot, or killed in any part of the Province of Otago, except during the months of June, July, August, and September.

DEFERRED PAYMENTS.—DUNBACK HUNDRED.
WEDNESDAY, 10TH FEBRUARY, 1875.
NOTICE is hereby given that 1,000 acres of land in Block 4, Dunback Hundred, will be open for application on deferred payments on and after Wednesday, the 10th day of February, 1875.
Particulars of sections, &c., in future advertisement.
DEFERRED PAYMENTS.—WAIKAKA HUNDRED.
WEDNESDAY, 10TH FEBRUARY, 1875.
2000 ACRES OF LAND for sale on deferred payments, in the Waikaka Hundred.—Notice is hereby given that sections 5 and 6, block II., Chatton District, and sections 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 25, 28, and 29, block II., Waikaka, will be open for application on deferred payments on Wednesday, the 10th day of February, 1875. Applications must be made by the applicant in person, at any Land Office in the Province, and a deposit of 1s. 3d. per acre paid at the time of making the application, being the first half-year's occupation fee. The purchase money is payable at the rate of 2s. 6d. per acre per annum for ten years.
Plans to be seen, and lithographs obtained, at the Land Offices at Dunedin and at Invercargill.
PROCLAMATION.
Setting apart Land in the Waikaka Hundred for occupation on deferred payments.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by the 47th section of the Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council, to set apart in any part of the Province, districts or blocks of land within which licenses to occupy land and leases thereof on deferred payments may be granted either exclusively or within which the land shall be open for license or lease on deferred payment, or for sale on immediate payment.
And whereas the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago has recommended the Superintendent of the said Province to set apart the lands hereinafter specified for alienation on deferred payments:
Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council aforesaid, do hereby, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by “The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872,” and of every or any power in this behalf enabling me, proclaim, declare, and set apart all that district called the Waikaka Hundred as a District within which the land shall be open for license or lease as aforesaid, or for sale on immediate payment; and I do further by virtue of the aforesaid powers proclaim and declare those sections numbered respectively 5 and 9, block II., Chatton Survey District, and sections 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 25, 28, and 29, block II., Waikaka Survey District, on the map of the said Hundred, to be open on the 10th day of February, 1875, for application for license and lease as provided in the 47th section of the Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872.

In conformity to the 29th section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases, for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Cromwell on or before the 29th day of January 1875.
Copy of application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Cromwell.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 19th day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

SCHEDULE.
Thomas Logan and Samuel Williams on behalf of the Dauntless Quartz Mining Company for 18 acres of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated at, and running parallel with, and adjoining the Cromwell Company’s No. 1 Lease at Bendigo.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
In conformity to the 29th section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases, for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at St. Bathans on or before the 9th day of February, 1875.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at St. Bathans.
