Objections, if any, must be lodged with the undersigned within thirty days from making of said rate, and a special meeting of the Board will be held in the Athenaeum, Riccarton, on Thursday, the 5th January, 1876, at 7 p.m., to hear and decide on such objections.

SUBURBAN ROAD BOARD.
TENDERS wanted for cutting and embankment on road leading to Ocean Beach; also, cleaning out water tables from Hewitt\'s cutting to Howden\'s corner. The work will be shown to intending contractors on Friday, the 24th, at 12 o\'clock.
Separate tenders will be received for the supply of 480 yards, more or less, broken metal.
Tenders must be lodged with Mr Eagerty, before noon on Thursday, 30th inst.

PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, at a Special Meeting of the above-named Board, held on Saturday, 4th December, it was resolved to borrow the sum of £500 for the North-East Harbour Subdivision, for the purpose of paying liabilities and carrying on future works.
It was also resolved to borrow £350 for the Tomahawk Subdivision for the same purpose.
Ratepayers objecting to the raising of these loans must send in written objections to the Clerk before 12 o\'clock on Saturday, 8th January, 1876, when the Board will hold a Special Meeting to consider the same.

PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
I.—NORTH-EAST HARBOUR SUBDIVISION.
(a) Tenders wanted for cutting and filling up road at Mr Hooper\'s gate.
(b) Tenders wanted for cutting and filling up on No. 1 road.
(c) Tenders wanted for cutting and filling up road leading to Mr A. Stuart\'s property.
Messrs Hunter and Sim will show the work to be done on January 6th, (a) at 2 p.m., (b) and (c) at 3 p.m.
II.—HIGHCLIFFE SUBDIVISION.
(a) Tenders wanted for 25 yards road metal, and claying about 10 chains of sand on No 3 road.
(b) Tenders wanted for two (2) wooden bridges, a little cutting, and 10 yards of maintenance metal for No. 2 road.
Works will be shown (b) at 1 o\'clock, and (a) at 2 o\'clock, on Wednesday, January 5, 1876.
Separate tenders for each. The Board does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender. Tenders will be received not later than noon on Saturday, January 8, 1876.

Specifications for Nos: 12 and 13 may be seen now, and Nos. 8 and 14, when furnished by the District Engineer, at the store of Messrs M\'Gibbon and Sons, Mataura.
