NOTICE
To Trespassers on the Dunedin and Port Chalmers Railway Line.
NOTICE is hereby given that persons found placing on, or carrying across the Port Chalmers Railway line, any wood, stone, or other material, without the consent of the General Manager of Railways, will be prosecuted according to law.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Supreme Court, for the despatch of Criminal and Civil business, will be holden at the Supreme Court House, at Dunedin on Monday the fourth day of January next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

APPEALS AGAINST ASSESSMENT FOR CURRENT YEAR
THE time and place for hearing the appeals lodged against the above assessment have been fixed for Thursday, December 17th, 1874, at 11 o’clock a.m., at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Port Chalmers, at which time and place it will be necessary for all appellants to attend.

£5000.—SEVEN PER CENT. DEBENTURES
CROMWELL CORPORATION WATERWORKS LOAN
Issued under Act of the General Assembly, dated 31st August, 1874.
The Corporation of Cromwell invite tenders to the amount of £2000, bearing interest at 7 per cent. payable half-yearly.
The debentures will be payable in 30 years and will be dated 8th January, 1875. They will be for £50 each, and the coupons attached for each half year’s interest will be payable at Cromwell or Dunedin at the Bank of New South Wales.
A minimum price will be fixed before tenders are opened.
Tenders in accordance with the annexed form will be received by the Town Clerk, Cromwell, up to 8 p.m. on Friday, the 8th January, 1875, endorsed “Tender for Debentures.”
Payments of 5 per cent. on the amount applied for shall accompany each tender; balance on 22nd January, 1875.

GRANTS OF LAND UNDER THE IMMIGRANT’S LAND ACT 1873
IMMIGRANTS claiming to be entitled to land under the above Act, must within sixty days after their arrival in New Zealand, apply personally to the Immigration Officer at the port or place of arrival, and furnish a statement of their claims to be so entitled, showing when and by what ship they or their family as the case may be arrived, and from what port or place they emigrated and their names and ages, and they are required within sixty days thereafter to furnish such proof of the truth of the statement as shall be required by the Immigration Officer.
No persons are entitled to a free grant of land unless they have obtained from the Agent-General of New Zealand before leaving for the Colony, a certificate in writing that they are suitable Immigrants.
