MUNICIPALITY OF CLYDE.

The assessment for the year 1874-5 having been allowed by the Council the same is deposited and may be daily inspected at my office by any person interested therein up to the 5th of December next, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on payment of one shilling.

All notices of appeal in the form of Schedule D. of the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865,” must be lodged with me at my office on or before noon of the said 5th of December.

£5000.—SEVEN PER CENT. DEBENTURES.

CROMWELL CORPORATION WATERWORKS LOAN,

Issued under Act of the General Assembly, dated 31st August, 1874.

The Corporation of Cromwell invite tenders to the amount of £2000, bearing interest at 7 per cent. payable half-yearly.

The debentures will be payable in 30 years, and will be dated 8th January, 1875. They will be for £50 each, and the coupons attached for each half-year's interest will be payable at Cromwell or Dunedin at the Bank of New South Wales.

A minimum price will be fixed before tenders are opened.

Tenders in accordance with the annexed form will be received by the Town Clerk, Cromwell, up to 8 p.m. on Friday, the 8th January, 1875, endorsed “Tender for Debentures.”

Payments of 5 per cent. on the amount applied for shall accompany each tender; balance on 22nd January, 1875.

DISSOLUTION OF COPARTNERSHIP.

The undersigned John Eggers and Friedrich Wilhelm Eggers hitherto trading under the firm of E. Eggers Brothers general storekeepers and tobacconists at Macraes Flat have this day dissolved partnership by mutual consent.

All accounts due to and by the said firm will be received and paid by the said John Eggers who is fully authorised hereby for the purpose and who in future will continue the business in his own name.

NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Partnership (if any) hereto existing between the Heart of Oak Quartz Mining Company (registered) and the Star of the East Quartz Mining Company (registered under the style of “United Star and Oak Crushing Company”) carrying on business on the Carrick Range, Province of Otago and Colony of New Zealand, for the purpose of crushing quartz and the saving of gold, has been and is hereby dissolved as from the 7th. day of November, 1874.

A meeting will be held in the Government Office Dunedin, at noon on Thursday 10th December, 1874, to consider the application of Mr. John Cole Chapple, residing at Alexandra for an auctioneer’s license.

NOTICE TO MAKE FENCE.

TO A. H. Ross, owner of Section 79 Block V Dunedin and East Taieri District.

Take notice that I desire that the boundary fence between section 74 Block V Dunedin and East Taieri District and the above-named sections be made on or before the 29th day of January 1875, and that such fence shall be a post and four rail fence according to the Fencing Ordinance.

To the occupiers of Section 55, Block 3, Maungatua District.

Take notice that I desire that the boundary or dividing fence between sections 54 and 55, block III., Maungatua District, be put immediately (or within a month from date), said fence to consist of posts with four wires and double ditch, according to clause 3, schedule B., Fencing Ordinance of 1872.

One light strawberry steer, branded Y, near rib.
One red and white bullock, branded G.C., off rump.
One yellow strawberry heifer, branded like J off rump with calf at foot.

Owners unknown, for trespassing on his property, and in default of being reclaimed, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Lawrence, on Friday the 11th day of December 1874, at 12 o’clock, noon.
