TEACHER WANTED, for the West Taieri Main District School. Applications to be lodged with the Rev. William Gillies, Mause, West Taieri, on or before 3rd December prox.

Ratepayers objecting to the valuation or assessment are hereby required to attend a special meeting of the Board to be held at the school house, Merton on Wednesday the 9th December at 4 o’clock p.m. All objections to be delivered in writing to the Clerk not later than 5th December. A statement of said rate is open for inspection every lawful day at the house of the clerk, Clevdon.

CLOSING ROADS.

NOTICE is hereby given that objections have been lodged with me against the shutting up of certain road lines included in the Roads Diversion Ordinance 1874, situate in the Road Districts of Aparima, Blueskin, Half-Way Bush, Peninsula, Portobello, Shotover, and Otepopo, a special meeting of the Executive Council will be held in the Government Buildings, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 17th day of December, at noon, for the purpose of deciding the said objections, when parties interested are invited to attend.

It is hereby notified that a special rate of one shilling per £ on the full net annual value of rateable property was made by the Board on 28th October, for the year ending 30th June 1875. Ratepayers objecting to the valuation or assessment are hereby required to attend a special meeting of the Board to be held at the school house, Merton on Wednesday the 9th December at 4 o’clock p.m. All objections to be delivered in writing to the Clerk not later than 5th December. NOTICE is Hereby Given of the intention of the Waipori Road Board, at its meeting on Saturday the 19th December next, to make a General Rate of Six pence in the £, on all rateable property throughout the District, for the year ending June, 1875. A statement of the proposed rate is open for inspection at the office of the Board, Lake Waipori.

Objections (if any) to the rate must be lodged with me within 30 days from date of this notice.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Palmerston District Road Board intend to levy a general (district) rate of One Shilling in the Pound on the annual value on all rateable property throughout the district for the current year ending 30th of June, 1875.

Objectors (if any) must lodge their objections in writing, within 30 days from date, at the Office of the Board, which will be heard at a Special Meeting at the Office of the Board, on the third Wednesday in December, 1874, at 2 o’clock p.m.

The Rate books are open for inspection.

BLUESKIN ROAD DISTRICT.

THE Road Rates for the above District are now due and payable to me at my house, Purakanui.

For the convenience of Ratepayers, I shall attend at the undermentioned places from 12 to 2 p.m. on the dates mentioned—Waitati Hotel, December 1st; Royal Hotel, Port Chalmers, December 4th; Mr. Samuel Careys, Hamilton Bay, December 8th.

All rates unpaid by these dates will be liable to be recovered in the usual way.
