TUESDAY, 15th DECEMBER.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lease of Section 117, Block 2, Leaning Rock District, containing 4a. 0r. 36p., will be offered for sale by Public Auction, at the Survey Office, Clyde, on Tuesday, the 15th day of December next, at noon, at the upset rent of £5, subject to repayment of half valuation (viz., £161 1s. 9d.) for improvements to the adjoining lessee.

TUESDAY, 22nd DECEMBER.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that section 44, Block III, Table Hill District, containing 52a. 3r. 4p., will be offered for sale by public auction at the Survey Office, Lawrence, after the Town sale there, on Monday, the 22nd day of December next, at noon, at the upset price of £1 1s. per acre. Immediately after, section 1, Block III, Tuapeka West, and section 64, Block III, Tuapeka West, containing respectively 56a. 1r. 25p., and 1a. 0r. 35p., will be offered at the upset price of £1 per acre, the former subject to repayment of valuation for improvements to the extent of £1500; the latter subject to valuation of £2500.

Section 33c. 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21a., Block VI, Lee Stream District, will be offered for sale as land of special value under the 85th clause of the “Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872,” at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 4th day of January next at noon, at an upset price to be stated in a future advertisement.

Teaching Positions

WANTED, a TEACHER, for Highcliff District School, five miles from Dunedin. Government allowance of £100, and School Fees. There is a good residence, and glebe of 3 acres. Applications to be lodged at the Education Office before Friday, the 20th inst.

WANTED, for the Boys’ High School, Dunedin, a thoroughly Competent English Master. The salary will consist of £300 per annum, and one-twelfth of the School fees. The School is about to be re-organised, and it is expected the supplement from the fees will reach £100.

WANTED, for the District School, Waikouaiti, a thoroughly competent Schoolmistress. Salary, £100 per annum. Applications, with testimonials, to be lodged with the undersigned before December 5th, 1874.

Road Closings

CLOSING ROADS.

NOTICE is hereby given that objections have been lodged with me against the shutting up of certain road lines included in the Roads Diversion Ordinance 1874, situate in the Road Districts of Aparima, Blueskin, Half-Way Bush, Peninsula, Portobello, Shotover, and Otepopo, a special meeting of the Executive Council will be held in the Government Buildings, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 17th day of December, at noon, for the purpose of deciding the said objections, when parties interested are invited to attend.

Waikouaiti Road Board

WAIKOUATI ROAD BOARD.

IT is hereby notified that a special rate of one shilling per £ on the full net annual value of rateable property was made by the Board on 28th October, for the year ending 30th June 1875. Ratepayers objecting to the valuation or assessment are hereby required to attend a special meeting of the Board to be held at the school house, Morton on Wednesday the 9th December at 6 o’clock p.m. All objections to be delivered in writing to the Clerk not later than 8th December. A statement of said rate is open for inspection every lawful day at the house of the clerk, Clevedon.
