Plans and Specifications

Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Postmaster’s Office, Port Molyneux.

Tenders to be indorsed, "Tender for Contract No. 990 or 991" as the case may be.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

OAMARU HARBOUR LIGHT.

On and after the 1st day of December, 1874, a Fixed White Light will be exhibited from a lighthouse on Cape Wanbrow, at the Port of Oamaru, and will be seen in clear weather about 15 nautical miles over an arc of 146deg. 15sec. between N.N.W. and S. b. W. from seaward, the outer anchorage being on the S. by W.

All bearings are magnetic.

APPLICATIONS FOR CROWN LANDS.

DEFERRED PAYMENTS.

IT is notified for public information that applications may now be made at any Land Office, for Land situated in any Land District, under the deferred payment clauses of the Act.

The Land now remaining open for Sale on deferred payments is situated as follows:—

At Hyde, 1,137 acres

At Ida Valley, 1,232 acres

At Waipahi, 1,612 acres

At Teviot, 1,520 acres

At Macraes, 2,400 acres

At Teetot, 761 acres

At Lake Wakatipu, 663 acres

At Glenkenich, 44 acres

At Lake Hawea, 1,500 acres

At M’Nab’s, 276 acres

At Tuapeka, 4,493 acres but of this last area 2,400 acres are withheld from application, pending the definition of the Railway.

Copies of the pamphlet giving the substance of the conditions may be obtained at any Land Office.

EDUCATIONAL RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

The following Reserves will be Leased by auction, at the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon, on Monday, the 2nd of November next. Further particulars may be obtained on application at the office of Mr. Baker, Invercargill.
