IMPOUNDED NOTICES
IMPOUNDED on the 21st day of September, 1874, by John Finn, Ranger,
1 black horse, branded like W on near shoulder. Owner unknown, for trespassing on the Lower Ferry Reserve, for which five shillings and sixpence is claimed, and in default of being released, the above horse will be sold at the public pound at Balclutha, on Friday the 23rd day of October 1874, at twelve o'clock noon.

1 brown mare, blaze on the forehead, no visible brand.

Owners unknown. For trespassing on Coal Creek run, for which the sum of seven shillings per head is claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Macraes, on Friday, the 16th day of October, 1874, at twelve o'clock at noon.

Owner unknown. For trespassing on Hamilton run, for which the sum of eight shillings per head is claimed for trespass and driving, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Macraes on Friday, the 16th day of October, 1874, at twelve o'clock noon.

supposed to belong to Andrew Chapman, for trespassing on the public streets, for which 1s. 6d. is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Balclutha, on Friday, the 23rd day of October, 1874, at twelve o'clock noon.

INCENDIARISM
Maliciously setting fire to a Woolshed.
£50 Reward, and a Free Pardon to an Accomplice.
WHEREAS on the night of Sunday the 6th instant, a Woolshed situate on the Ototokarama Station, the property of Mr. M'Intyre, of Merino Downs Station, value £300, containing a chaff cutting machine and a quantity of hides and skins, was destroyed by fire: And whereas the said fire is believed to have been the act of an incendiary.
Notice is hereby given that a reward of £50 will be paid by the Provincial Government of Otago to any person who will first give such information as will lead to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons by whom the said fire was caused, and His Excellency the Governor will be advised to grant a Free Pardon to the accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the fire, who will give such information as will lead to a like result.
