PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor John Theodore Thomas Boyd Esquire,
Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled the "Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," it is enacted in the three hundred and ninetieth section of the said Act, that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of any Province by Proclamation published in the Government Gazette of such Province to declare that any complete parts of the several parts of the said Act, numbered from two to twenty-two inclusive, as he shall consider applicable shall extend and be applied to any city, town, or place in such Province incorporated at the time of the passing of the said Act, under any Act or Ordinance of the Legislature of such Province, and in such Proclamation to fix a time at which such parts or any of them shall extend to any such city, town, or place: And whereas by another Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled "The Municipal Corporations Acts Amendment Act, 1871," it is enacted that with regard to any city, town or place within the Province of Otago incorporated under "The Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865," and "The Otago Municipal Corporations Empowering Act, 1865," and that whether incorporated at or after the time of the passing of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867" the Superintendent of the Province of Otago may from time to time, and as often as may be necessary, exercise the power conferred on such Superintendent by the three hundred and ninetieth section of the said Act, to declare that any complete parts of the several parts of the said Act, numbered from two to twenty-two both inclusive, shall extend and apply to such city, town or place: And whereas the Town of Clyde, in the Province of Otago, is a town or place within the Province of Otago incorporated under "The Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865," and "The Otago Municipal Corporations Empowering Act, 1865," and whereas it is expedient that the several parts of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," which are hereinafter mentioned and enumerated should be extended and applied to the said Town of Clyde: Now therefore, I, John Theodore Thomas Boyd Deputy Superintendent of the province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, and in pursuance and exercise of the power vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the first day of August next ensuing the date hereof the complete parts of the several parts of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," numbered respectivelyโ
- Part XII Notices &c., and Legal Proceedings.
- Part XIII Government of Borough and Byelaws.
- Part XIII Street Bridges and the like.
- Part XVI Sewerage &c.,
- Part XIX Lighting.
- Part XX Water Supply.
- Part XXIII Miscellaneous,
shall extend and be applied to the said Town of Clyde.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago at Dunedin in the said Province, this 24th day of July, 1874.

NOTICE.
In the matter of the "Highway Boards Empowering Act 1871," and of an Order made by the Lindhurst Road Board for diverting a Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that the order made by the Lindhurst Road Board on the 24th day of March, 1874 and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette on the 20th day of May 1874, for opening up a new road in the Waimumu Sub-division passing through sections 4 and 46 the property of the New Zealand and Australian Land Company and section 3, the property of Mr. Hugh Cameron has this day been confirmed by me, there being no objections to the proposed new road and the owners and occupiers of the sections aforesaid having assented thereto.
