960 acres, more or less, in the Taringatura District, on Run No. 159, bounded towards the north by sections 163 and 164, towards the east by the Dipton Creek, and towards the west, south, and south-west by lines at the base of the Taringatura Hills to include the required acreage.

750 acres, more or less, in the Waiau District, on Run No. 156x2, bounded towards the east by a public road, section 25, Orawia River, and the Reserve at Braida Craig, towards the south by the Marshburn Creek, towards the west by a creek flowing into the Marshburn, and towards the north-west by a line at right angles to the road, to include the required area.
1160 acres, more or less, in the Waiau District, on Run No. 145, bounded towards the north-east by a line drawn from Trigonometrical Station H to north-east corner of section 12, by section 12, and a public road, towards the south by section 16 and a line in continuation of the north boundary thereof, towards the west by a line parallel to the general direction of the road about 60 chains distant therefrom, and towards the north by a line at right angles to the road, to include the required area.

PROCLAMATION
Appointing day for holding Election of Members of District Road Board.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by the twenty-seventh section of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871” it is provided that in every district divided into subdivisions, the voters enrolled upon the Voters’ roll for the time being in force for each subdivision of such district shall, on the second Thursday in June in each year, elect from the persons capable of being members of the District Board one-third of the whole number assigned to the subdivision, in the room of those who shall go out of office by rotation in the year: And whereas by the tenth section of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871 Amendment Ordinance 1874” it is provided that if, from any cause whatever, the persons entitled to vote at any election for any subdivision of any district shall fail or neglect to hold an election of members of the District Board of such district on the day appointed by the said Ordinance for that purpose, it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, by proclamation in the Gazette, to appoint a day for the holding of such election, and an election may be held on the day so appointed; and the election so held shall, for all purposes whatever, be deemed to have been duly held on the day appointed by the said Ordinance for holding the same:
And whereas the persons entitled to vote at elections for the North Plain subdivision of the North Taieri Road District, and the Abbots Hill and Abbotsford subdivisions of the Kaikorai Road Districts have failed or neglected to hold elections of members of the District Boards of such district on the day appointed by the said “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871:”
Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the tenth section of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871 Amendment Ordinance 1874,” appoint the days hereinafter mentioned for the holding of the elections of members of the District Boards of the abovementioned districts.

Election of Road Board.—Appointment of Polling Places.
WHEREAS by the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871,” by section one hundred, it is enacted that in and for each district, within fifteen days after the constitution thereof under the said Ordinance, the Superintendent shall, in and for every district, appoint a sufficient number of polling places for such district, at which the poll shall be taken at all elections held for the same: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint the places after mentioned to be the polling places for the Tuapeka Road District, at which the poll shall be taken at all elections held for the same until duly altered or varied, of which notice is hereby given to all concerned.
Polling Places:
- The Court House, Mataura Bridge.
- The Schoolhouse, Tuturau.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, in the said Province, this eleventh day of July, 1874.
