KENSINGTON SCHOOL—DUNEDIN SUBURBS.

THE School Committee of Kensington invites applications for the offices respectively of Schoolmaster and Schoolmistress of the District School. Salary of the Master, the Government Allowance (£100) and 60 per cent. of the Fees; Mistress, the Government Allowance (£75) and 20 per cent. of the School Fees. Applications with Testimonials to be lodged with the undersigned on or before the 21st July, 1874. School duties to commence on 3rd August.

SOUTH MOLYNEUX DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that the above Board intends to form a road line on part sections 11 and 12 Block II., South Molyneux District; said road to be 100 links wide; and under the authority and powers vested in the Board, as per “Highway Boards Empowering Act,” together with the “Lands Consolidation Act.” The plan of the above road can be seen by any person interested, for 40 days from this date, at the School-house, Port Molyneux, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; and any persons affected by the above are required to state their objections in writing, and forward to the Board within 40 days from this date; and the Board will meet to hear and decide upon objections (if any) on Wednesday, 19th day of August, 1874, at noon.

NOTICE.

WHEREAS a Brown Cow, dangerous to females and children, and branded J.C. on near rump, owner unknown, has been trespassing in my paddock here for more than three months, notice is hereby given that if the said cow be not claimed and removed before the 16th July next, she will be sold in the paddock to anyone who will remove her, alive or dead. Damages claimed, 20s. and advertising.

INCENDIARISM.

Maliciously Setting Fire to Two Stacks of Oats.

£100 REWARD.

WHEREAS about 8.30 o’clock on the night of the 7th instant, two stacks of Oats, situate at the Swineburn, in the Mount Ida District, the property of Joseph Preston, value £300, were discovered on fire, by which they were destroyed; and whereas at an inquest held on the 11th inst. at the Swineburn, by A. H. Stratford, Esq., R.M. and Coroner, the jury returned the following verdict:

“That some person or persons did on the night of the 7th instant wilfully and maliciously set on the said stacks of Oats on fire.”

Notice is hereby Given, that a reward of £100 will be paid by the Provincial Government of Otago to any person who will first give such information as will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons by whom the said fire was caused, and His Excellency the Governor will be advised to grant a Free Pardon to an accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the fire, who will give such information as will lead to a like result.
