NOTE.β€”The barometrical returns are corrected for index error, capillary action, and reduced to 32Β° Fah. and sea level.
The Approximate Range of the Barometer is the difference between the highest and lowest readings for the month.
The temperature of the dew point, the elastic force of vapour, and the degree of humidity are calculated from the simultaneous observations of the wet and dry bulb thermometers.
In reading the preceding table, it should be borne in mind that all self-registering instruments are recorded at the morning observation, and therefore the results noted occur during the preceding 24 hours.
