NORTH TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE.—A meeting of ratepayers entitled to vote at the ensuing election will be held, to nominate candidates for election to represent the North Plain Sub-division and Wingatui Subdivision, as per clauses 26 and 27, Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871. North Plain Sub-division, at the school-house, on Thursday, 11th June, at 12 noon. In the event of a poll being demanded, it will be held in the above place on Friday, 19th June, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.: Charles Waters, Returning Officer.

Wingatui Subdivision, in the Drill-shed, Mosgiel, on Thursday, 11th June, at 12 noon. In the event of a poll being demanded, it will be held in the same place, on Saturday, 20th June, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.: William Couper, Returning Officer.

WAIPORI ROAD DISTRICT.

TENDERS are invited by the Board up till noon on Saturday, the 30th May, for Bridge, Waipori Flat, and for cuttings and formation in Clarendon and Waikouaiti West.

Plans and specifications can be seen for the works in each Sub-division, as under:—

Maungatua—Post Office, Maungatua.
Clarendon—Post Office, Lake Waipori.
Waihola West—At Mr. Joseph Graham’s.

Tenders to be addressed to the Chairman, Lake Waipori P.O. The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

SEASIDE ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE is Hereby Given that the Annual Meeting of Ratepayers entitled to vote in the election of Road Trustees for the ensuing year will be held within the Schoolhouse, Brighton, on Thursday, 11th June next, at noon, for the Brighton sub-division, and within the schoolhouse, Saddle Hill, at 3 p.m., for the Walton sub-division.

TENDERS will be received by the Seaside Road Board until noon of Wednesday the 10th June next for Metalling 10 chains of the Main District Road, with red sandstone and partly bluestone. Further particulars may be obtained from Mr. Thos. Howorth, Walton Park, with whom all tenders must be lodged. The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

FENCING

Tenders will be received at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 29th May current, for the erection of Iron Fencing and other work at Immigration Depot, Caversham. Plans and Specifications at the Immigration Office, Custom House, Dunedin.

N.B.—The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

Fresh TENDERS invited for Normal and Art School Building. Fifteen months for completion. Tenders to be in Government Tender Box by noon on Tuesday, June 9th.

NOTICE to Make Fence.—To George Coupar, owner of section 27, block XII., Jacob’s River Hundred.

Take notice, that I desire that the boundary or separating fence between section 27 block XII. and section 26 block XII., Jacob’s River Hundred, be made immediately, and that said fence shall be a three-sod fence, with stakes for two wires and ditch on both sides.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

Under Section 1 of Regulation IV.

WHEREAS Application has been made to me by Matthew Young, John Farmer, and James Stewart,

to declare that the portion of the Otago Gold Field described in the Schedule hereto, may be occupied by Holders of Miners Rights, in claims of the undernominated size, viz:—

One (1) Acre for each holder of a Miner’s Right, provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six (6) acres altogether.

Now, therefore, I Give Notice, that such application, and any Objection thereto, will be heard before me, at the Court House, Naseby, on Monday the 15th of June 1874, at 11 a.m.

The following Resolution was passed at a meeting of the Shareholders, held at the Masonic Hall, on Friday, 1st May, 1874:—

“Resolved, that in the opinion of this meeting, the affairs of the Dunedin Masonic Hall Company Limited have been fairly and satisfactorily wound up.”
