Impounded on the 13th day of April, 1874, by Mr. Dickson, East Taieri.

One dark bay horse, branded GH, near shoulder. Owner unknown, for trespassing on grass paddock, for which no damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above horse will be sold at the public pound at East Taieri, on Friday, the 8th day of May, 1874, at 12 o'clock noon.

One white steer, supposed brand L K. Owner unknown, for trespassing on Waikouaiti township, for which two shillings and sixpence is claimed; and in default of being released, the above steer will be sold at the public pound at West Hawksbury, on Friday, the 1st day of May, at twelve o'clock noon.

Lost from Mosgiel Hotel Stables, on the night of Tuesday, the 7th April, a bay mare (light draught), three white feet, star in forehead, and collar-marked. 10s. reward will be given to any person giving information to Mosgiel Hotel, or

One red and white heifer, illigible brand, off rump.
One red and white cow, brand like letters LB, near rump.
One red and white calf, progeny of the above cow.

Owner unknown, for trespassing on Traquair Hundred, for which no damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at West Taieri, on Friday, the 8th day May, 1874, at twelve o'clock noon.

NOTICES

WHALING BONUS, £500.

The Provincial Government will pay £250 by way of Bonus to the first vessel which leaves the Province fully equipped for a whaling cruise; also £250 on her returning to the Province with a cargo of oil. Provided that such vessel is owned in, and sails from, a port within the Province. Vessel not to be under 150 tons. Provided also that she carries at least five boys as apprentices. Bonus will be paid on production of certificate from the Harbor Master that these provisions have been complied with.

The Bay Horse impounded on the 6th of April, and advertised in last Gazette has been claimed.

A horse will be sold at Otepopo Pound.
Three cows, a heifer, and a bull, will be sold at Lawrence Pound.
Five heifers, three cows, a bull, seven bullocks, a cow, and a calf, will be sold at West Taieri Pound.
