PROCLAMATION
Constituting the Fuschia Creek Road District.
By His Honour James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS, by the sixth section of the Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, passed in the twenty-ninth session of the said Provincial Council, No. 363, and shortly intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871,” it is provided that if a majority in number of the persons on the roll or rolls for the time being in force under the “Registration of Electors Act, 1866,” or any other Act for the like purpose, should sign and cause to be presented to the Superintendent a petition in the form in the second Schedule thereto, or to the like effect, praying him to constitute the portion of the Province in which such persons should reside a Road District, under the now recited Ordinance, and in such petition should set forth the boundaries of the portion of the Province to which such petition should refer, it should be lawful for the Superintendent, if he should think fit so to do, by Proclamation to constitute such portion of the Province a Road District, of such name as in and by the Proclamation should be assigned to the same: And whereas such a majority in number of the persons resident in the portion of the Province hereinafter described as is required by the said recited section of the said Ordinance have signed and caused to be presented to me a petition in the form of the second Schedule to the said Ordinance praying me to constitute the portion of the said Province hereinafter described a Road District under the said Ordinance:
Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby proclaim, constitute, and declare: All that parcel of land in the Province of Otago, containing by estimation fifty thousand five hundred and fifty (50,550) acres, more or less, situate in the Kauroo Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at Raki’s Table and proceeding due south to the northern boundary of block II.; thence by a line due east to the Kakanui River; thence along that river to the eastern boundary of block II.; thence by a line due south to the Kauroo River; thence in a south-westerly direction along the Kauroo River to the southern boundary of block V.; thence due west along that boundary to the western boundary of block I.; thence due south along the said western boundary of block I. to the southern boundary of the Kauroo District; thence due west along the southern boundary of the said district to its western boundary; thence due north along its said western boundary to its northern boundary; thence along the said northern boundary to Raki’s Table, the starting point: as and to be a Road District, to be named “The Fuschia Creek Road District.”
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, this eighteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

NOTICE
In the matter of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” and of an Order made by the Aparima Road Board for diverting a Road.
UNDER and by virtue of the provisions of section thirty-three of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint and fix Tuesday, the 12th day of May proximo, at the hour of 11 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Superintendent’s office, in the Provincial Government Buildings, at Dunedin, as and to be the time and place for taking into consideration an Order made by the Aparima Road Board on the fourteenth day of February, 1874, and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 895, on the 25th day of February, 1874, for diverting a Road through section seven (7), and sections thirty-nine (39), eighteen (18), nineteen (19), seventeen (17), sixteen (16), fifteen (15), and twenty (20), Oreti Hundred.
