Public Vaccinator appointed.

Wellington, 1st April, 1874.
IT is hereby notified for public information, that, under the provisions of "The Public Health Act, 1872," His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the under-mentioned gentleman to be a Public Vaccinator, to perform gratuitous vaccination in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and any Regulations made or to be made thereunder, for the districts mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and set opposite his name therein.

IT is hereby notified, that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to confirm the sentence of the Court of Inquiry into the wreck of the "Surat," and that the Certificate of Competency as Master, issued by the Board of Trade, No. 12,735, held by
EDMUND JOSEPH JOHNSON,
and the Certificate of Competency as Master, issued by the Board of Trade, No. 24,799, held by
ABRAM FORSHAW,
are therefore cancelled; also, that the Certificate of Competency as Second Mate, issued by the Board of Trade, No. 95,797, held by
EDWARD HASELTON,
is suspended for a period of two years, from the 20th day of January last.

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, GREETING:
WHEREAS, by Warrants under the hand of the Governor, bearing date the thirtieth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, and the twelfth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one,
The Court House, Nokomai,
The House of Mr. Barbary, Waikaka,
The House of Mr. D. Scully, Nevis, and
The School-house, Miller’s Flat West,
were appointed Polling Places for Waikaia, for the election of Members of the House of Representatives: And whereas it is expedient to abolish the same:
Now know ye that I, Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, the Governor of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority in me vested by the said Act, do hereby abolish the above-named Polling Places for the District of Waikaia, for the election of Members of the House of Representatives, and do appoint in lieu thereof—

Mr. Frank Smith’s House, Waikaka.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, at the Government House at Auckland, this thirtieth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.
