NOTICE to Applicants for Unsurveyed Land, under "Otago Waste Land Act 1872."—It is hereby notified to the Applicants whose names appear in the subjoined Schedule, that they have been declared to be the purchasers of the Sections set opposite their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase money of these Sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue in Invercargill, on or before Wednesday, the 29th day of April, 1874, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.

That no person shall be allowed to depasture on the Crown Lands of the Hundred more than one head of cattle to three acres, one horse to nine acres, or one sheep to a hundred acres of land in his occupation, and that all cattle, horses, or sheep so depastured, must bear the registered brand or mark of the license-holder.

That all stray stock depastured in contravention of any of the foregoing Bye-laws may be impounded, and that the Wardens will not be responsible for any mistakes which may arise through stock not bearing brands according to the "Cattle Branding Ordinance."

That all persons entitled to depasture stock on the Forest Hill Hundred, shall, within thirty days hereof, furnish a return of their brands, cattle, horses, sheep, and acreage to the chairman.

That all persons entitled to depasture stock within said Hundred, being lease-holders, shall, within thirty days hereof furnish, a return of the number of acres leased, from whom leased, and submit the lease to the inspection of the chairman, if required.

That the penalty for any breach of the foregoing Bye-laws, be any sum not exceeding Five Pounds sterling, to be recovered in a summary way, in accordance with the 45th Clause of the Land Regulations.

NOTICE.
"PROVINCIAL COMPULSORY LANDS TAKING ACT, 1866."
NOTICE is hereby Given, that it is intended to introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago at its next session, authorising the Superintendent of the Province of Otago to take compulsorily, for the purpose of making a Road in the District of Waitahuna West, parts of sections numbered respectively one (1), two (2), three (3), and four (4), block (VI.), Waitahuna West District; and Notice is hereby further Given, that a copy of the Bill so intended to be introduced as aforesaid, may be inspected at the office of the Clerk of the Provincial Council, on and after the twentieth day of April next.

Contract No. 937.—Erection of Stone and Timber Bridge over the Lee Stream, on Road West Taieri Bridge to Dunstan.
Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of Tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin.
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Contract No. 937."
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lately reclaimed land sections Nos. 1 to 7, block LII, Dunedin, containing upwards of 1 rood each, suitable for manufacturing purposes, and adjacent to the Railway Station, will be offered for sale, under special conditions, by public auction, by Mr. James Milner, at the Land Office, Dunedin, at noon on Tuesday, the 19th day of May, 1874. For terms and conditions apply at the office of the Secretary for Works on and after Monday, the 20th April, 1874.

Land on Deferred Payments near Hyde.
MONDAY, 20th April, 1874.
NOTICE is hereby given that a block of 2000 acres of agricultural land, in Rock and Pillar District will be surveyed into suitable sections, and opened for application on deferred payments, at the District Land Office, Naseby, on the 20th of April, 1874. The block lies to the east of the town of Hyde, and on the Taieri River, south of the Cap Burn, the main road passing through part of it.
Price, 2s. 6d. per acre per annum for ten years, with certain conditions as to improvement.
Applications require to be made personally, and a deposit of 1s. 3d. per acre paid.
