ABSTRACTS from previous Gazettes of Impounding Notices:

Friday, 3rd April, Noon.
A horse and a mare will be sold at West Taieri Pound.
Two horses will be sold at Lovell's Flat Pound.
Two cows and a bull will be sold at Lela Bank Pound.
A horse will be sold at South Dunedin Pound.

IMPOUNDED: on the 12th day of March, 1874, by Thomas Stanley,
One bay horse, branded NK near shoulder, and 2 on the ribs, the near eye blind.
Supposed to belong to a man in Victoria, for trespassing on Deep Dell Run, for which seven shillings are claimed, and in default of being released, the above horse will be sold at the Public Pound at Macraes, on Friday, the 10th day of April, 1874, at twelve o'clock noon.

IMPOUNDED: on the 16th day of March, 1874, by Ranger, Mount Stuart Road Board, Lovell's Flat--
1 dark bay mare, branded like a V off side of neck, blaze on face, both hind feet partly white.
1 dark bay horse, branded like 3K off shoulder, star on forehead, both hind feet white.
Owners unknown; for trespassing on district roads, for which no damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above will be sold at the public Pound at Lovell’s Flat, on Friday, the 17th day of April, 1874, at 12 o’clock noon.

WHALING BONUS, £500.

THE Provincial Government will pay £250 by way of Bonus to the first vessel which leaves the Province fully equipped for a whaling cruise; also £250 on her returning to the Province with a cargo of oil; Provided that such vessel is owned in, and hails from, a port within the Province. Vessel not to be under 150 tons. Provided also that she carries at least five boys as apprentices. Bonus will be paid on production of certificate from the Harbor Master that those provisions have been complied with.
