Impounding Notices:--
16th January, Friday, at noon, a filly will be sold at Balclutha Pound.
23rd January, Friday, at noon, a horse will be sold at Marae Flat Pound.
A heifer will be sold at Lovell’s Flat Pound.
A bullock will be sold at East Taieri Pound.
IMPOUNDED, 30th December, 1873, by Messrs Handyside and Roberts, Lander Run:—
1 Red and White Heifer, with no visible brands.
1 Strawberry Cow, brands like [ ] off rump, like 8 off ribs.
1 Red and White Heifer, like RS, near rump.
1 Strawberry Cow, like RS, near rump.
For which three shillings and sixpence per head is claimed driving expenses; and in default of the above cattle being released, they will be sold, on Friday, the 23rd day of January, 1874, at 12 o’clock noon, at Leaning Rock, Clyde Pound.

IMPOUNDED on 31st day of December, 1873, by Donald Borrie, West Taieri:—
1 Bay Mare, branded like the letters FC and MC near shoulder, and MC off shoulder.
1 Bay Horse, branded like the letter S near shoulder.
1 Chestnut Horse, branded like the letter [ ] or near shoulder, blaze down face, near hind foot white.
Owner unknown; for trespassing on Donald Borrie’s paddock. West Taieri, for which five shillings per head damages is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at West Taieri, on Friday, the 23rd day of January, 1874, at twelve o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 31st December, 1873, by R. Bain, Ranger,
One Red and White Bull, no visible brands,
Owner unknown; for trespassing on the Town Belt; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at South Dunedin, on Friday, the 23rd day of January, 1874, at twelve o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 22nd day of December, 1873, by Hugh Devon, Coal Creek Run:—
1 Bay Horse, branded W near shoulder, and like O near side of the neck.
For trespassing on Coal Creek Run, for which ten shillings is claimed; and in default of being released, the above will be sold at the Public Pound at Macrae’s Flat, on Friday, the 22nd January, 1874, at twelve o’clock noon.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 20th January, 1874 for
Contract No. 865—Additions to Police Station, North Dunedin.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin.
Tenders to be endorsed, “Tender for Contract No. 865.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

IT IS hereby notified that from and after the 1st January, 1874, all deposits with tenders for public works must be by marked cheques, and the Government will not be responsible for any cash that may be enclosed.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Friday, 23rd January, 1874, for
Contract No. 1.—Construction of the Waipori Drainage Channel.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Waipori.
Tenders to be endorsed “Waipori Drainage Channel, Tender for Contract No. 1.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
