PROCLAMATION.

Appointing a certain Road in the Hawksbury Road District to be a Main District Road.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871,” it is provided that upon the application of the Road Board of any road district the Superintendent may from time to time, if it shall seem fit so to do, by proclamation appoint that any roads or parts of roads, whether within or upon the boundary of such district, shall be main roads or main district roads: And whereas the Road Board for the Hawksbury road district have applied to me, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, to appoint the road hereinafter described to be a main district road;

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in this behalf vested in me by the said Otago Roads Ordinance 1871, do hereby appoint the following road, situate within or upon the boundary of the Otepopo road district aforesaid, to be a main district road, that is to say —

All that district road line situate in the Hawksbury survey district: Bounded towards the north-east by the main north road; towards the south-east by sections numbered 5, 23, and part of 22, block IV; towards the south-west by a road line; and towards the north-west by sections numbered 6 and other part of 22, block IV.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this 27th day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

NOTIFICATION.

Of the establishment of a Pound in Invercargill Hundred.

NOTICE is hereby given that by virtue of the powers vested in me by the “Impounding Ordinance 1872,” I have established a Public Pound situate at the junction of the Invercargill Hundred and the main east road, in the Province of Otago, New Zealand, and that I have appointed Thomas Dykes, of Myross Bush, in the Province of Otago, New Zealand, settler, to be keeper of the said Pound.

NOTIFICATION.

Of the establishment of a Pound near Wallacetown.

NOTICE is hereby given that by virtue of the powers vested in me by the “Impounding Ordinance 1872,” I have established a Public Pound situate at the junction of the main north road and main district road to Wallacetown and Long Bush, in the Province of Otago, New Zealand, and that I have appointed Jacob Ott, of Wallacetown, in the Province of Otago, New Zealand, settler, to be keeper of the Pound.

NOTICE.

Whereas it is intended to stop up these Roads and portions of Roads which are severally described in the Schedule hereunder written, and are delineated in the maps or plans mentioned and referred to in the “Roads Diversion Ordinance 1873,” Session XXII — No. XXIII, do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in the Road District specified in the Schedule, have been deposited at the public school immediately after the description of the respective roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in such district: Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance 1873,” Session No. XXIII, do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such roads or portions of roads, or any of them, are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objections they may have to the stopping up of such roads or portions of roads, and to leave such statement, addressed to me at my office in Dunedin, within sixty days from the first publication hereof, otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.


Balmoral Road District.

(1.) All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 55a. 1r. 34p. more or less being a road line situate in the Waitahuna West survey district: bounded towards the north-west by sections numbered 73 80 81 2 of 85 and 2 of 25 block III and 9 12 21 13 22 and 1 block IV fifty-five thousand two hundred and eighty (55280) links more or less; towards the south-east by the Waitahuna River fifty-five thousand two hundred and eighty (55280) links more or less.

(2.) All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 5a. 1r. 6p. more or less being a road line situate in the Waitahuna West survey district: bounded towards the north-east by part of section numbered 9 block IV two thousand eight hundred and ninety-one (2891) links more or less; and towards the south-west by other part of said section numbered 9 block IV two thousand four hundred (2400) links more or less.
