TENDERS
will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 25th November, 1873, for—
Contract No. 821.—Formation and part metalling 90 lineal chains of road, Southern Trunk to Hogg’s Bridge, commencing at Gum Tree Plantation, and extending towards Hogg’s Bridge.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin; and at Police Camp, Lawrence.
Tenders to be endorsed "Tender for Contract No. 821."
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

3rd. Contract No. 775.—Construction and metalling 48 chains of road near 4-Mile Creek, Clutha to Mataura.

Tenders to be endorsed "Tender for Contract No. 765, 773, or 775," as the case may be.

3rd. Contract No. 828.—Metalling of 60 chains of road, Waipahi to Tapanui, commencing fifteen chains east of Waipahi Bridge, and extending towards Tapanui.

TENDERS
will be received at the Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Tuesday, 25th November, 1873, for the following Services and Supplies for the Provincial Government of Otago for the year 1874. The Forage and Bread Contracts may be terminated at half year, by either party giving a month’s previous notice:
- Bookbinding
- Funerals
- Mixed Firewood: must be cut at least six months. Tenderer to state the kinds of wood he will mix, and about what quantities of each he will supply
- Provincial Coal—Green Island
- Shag Point
- Kaitangata
- Do.
- English, Scotch, and Newcastle Coal
- Ironmongery
- Kerosene
- Neatsfoot and Colza Oil
- Castor Oil
- Plumber’s Material
- Paints, Colours, and Glazing
- Powder and Fuse
- Printing
- Rock Render
- Rations and medical comforts for Dunedin Gaol
- Rations and Medical Comforts (exclusive of Bread) for Hospital, Lunatic Asylum, and, if required, Immigration Depot
- Bread for Hospital and Lunatic Asylum, Industrial School, for six months. A deposit of £20 must be lodged with the tender, to be forfeited if tender is not taken up
- Bread for Industrial School, and, if required, for Immigration Depot
- Rations—Meat for Hospital, Lunatic Asylum, and, if required, for Immigration Depot
- Meat for Industrial School
- Forage
- Potatoes
- Stationery
- Sawn Timber
The names of the Sureties must be lodged with the Tender, and it must be shown at the same time that the Sureties consent.
Schedules for tendering may be had from the Government Storekeeper after 3rd November, 1873.
Accounts to be rendered on the 25th of each month, and all items against a Department to be put into one account.
The Government will not be bound to accept any tender.
