TENDERS are invited for the following works. Plans and specifications at North-east Valley school-house, and tenders to be left at the school-house on or before Saturday, the 1st November, at 2 p.m.; the lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted by the Board:—
1st. 150 yards road metal on road No. 2, and formation and 200 yards metal on road No. 1, Harlington.
2nd. Road metal at per yard on Signal Hill road.
3rd. For repairs on road, North-east Valley.

No. 1.—Formation of 30 chains of Deborah Bay Road. Mr R. Lean, The Rocks, will show the work on Monday, Nov. 10, at 11 o’clock.
No. 2.—Formation of 30 chains, more or less, of Deborah Bay Road, commencing from School-house, to the road to Pullen Point. Mr Closs will show the work on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 11 o’clock.
No. 3.—Formation of 20 chains of Road leading from Blueskin Township to Blueskin and Port Chalmers Road. Also, Clearing about 10 chains of Boulders, Scrub, &c. The work to be shown by Mr Sime on Monday, Nov. 10, at 11 o’clock.
Tenders to be lodged at Post-office, Port Chalmers, not later than noon, Nov. 15.
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.
APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.
Copies of the Otago Regulations, and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves, can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.
APPLICATIONS are invited for the office of Head Master for the Invercargill Grammar School, vacant by the death of Mr Fleming, the late Rector. Salary, £400 per annum, and house provided. Applications, accompanied by testimonials and references, will be received not later than 15th November, 1873, and must be addressed to the Chairman Invercargill School Committee, Invercargill, New Zealand.
APPLICATIONS are invited for the office of Assistant Master for the Invercargill Grammar School. Salary, £200 per annum. Applications, accompanied by testimonials, will be received not later than 22nd Nov., 1873, addressed to the Chairman, School Committee, Invercargill, New Zealand.

NOTICE to Applicants for unsurveyed land under “Otago Waste Lands Act 1872.”—It is hereby notified to the applicants whose names appear in the subjoined Schedule, that they have been declared to be the purchasers of the sections set opposite their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase money of these sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue on or before Wednesday, the 12th day of November, 1873, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.
