NOTICE is hereby given that the Mining Lease issued in favor of Robert Clark, for section 1, block 14, Shotover, has been cancelled, and the land is open for occupation by holders of miners’ rights, &c.

NOTICE TO DISTRICT ROAD BOARDS.

It is of importance that all road deviations should be recorded on the maps of the Land Office, and on those in the office of the Provincial Secretary; it is requested that in future whenever a new line of road is laid off by any of the surveyors to the District Road Boards, this office may be notified, and either the original or a certified copy of the plan forwarded for the above purpose. It would be as well, also, to forward any such plans of roads as have not hitherto been recorded.

TENDERS

Tenders will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 23rd September, 1873, for:

1st. Contract No. 751—Metalling on road Clinton to Waipahi, commencing at a point 30 chains west of Cabbage Tree Creek, and extending towards Waipahi, 39 chains.

2nd. Contract No. 752—Metalling of 27 chains of road on road Clinton to Waipahi, near Scobie’s.

3rd. Contract No. 753—Metalling of 97 chains of road commencing at end of metal, Clinton, and extending towards Waipahi, including unmetalled portion of road through Clinton.

4th. Contract No. 754—Metalling of 21 chains of road Clutha to Mataura, end of metal to Boundary Creek, Clinton.

5th. Contract No. 755—Metalling of 63 chains of road Glenomaru to Catlin’s River, between Main Road and Henderson’s.

6th. Contract No. 756—Metalling of 33 chains of road Southern Trunk to Molyneux, from Puerua Bridge to top of Murdock’s Hotel (unmetalled portion).

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Balclutha.

Tenders to be indorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 751, 752, 753, 754, 755, 756,” as the case may be.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

EXTENSION OF TIME.

TO CONTRACTORS.—Tenders are invited by the West Taieri Board of Conservators for erecting an embankment across the river frontage of the township of Outram. Plans and specifications may be seen at the Post Office, Outram. Tenders to be addressed to the Chairman of the Board not later than Saturday, the 13th of September next.

CARTING.—Tenders will be received at the Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Tuesday, the 16th September, 1873, for such carting as may be required by the Gaol Department, Dunedin, for the six months ending 31st March, 1874.

For further particulars, apply at the Gaol, Dunedin.


TENDERS will be received by the Seaside District Road Board until Wednesday, the 24th September, 1873, for Carting Three Hundred Yards (300 yds.) Road Metal from Jeffcoat’s Quarry to Main Road, to be laid in such places as shall be pointed out by the Board.

All Tenders must be lodged with the Chairman, Mr. Thos. Howorth, Walton Park. The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
