PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
In conformity to the 29th section of the "Gold Fields Act 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown lands to the applicant specified in the annexed schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Arrow on or before the 18th day of August, 1873.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Arrowtown.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 7th day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

SCHEDULE.
Thomas William McDonald, on behalf of the Phoenix Gold Mining Company for 8 acres of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated at Big Beach, near Arthur’s Point.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

George Arnold Barker, on behalf of the Universal Gold Mining Company, for 10 acres of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated at Arrowtown Flat.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
In conformity to the 29th section of the "Gold Fields Act 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act, and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

Henry McCay, on behalf of the Waipori Gold Mining Company for 16 acres 2 roods of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated at and immediately adjoining, and north of the O.P.Q. Company’s ground.
FRIDAY, 29th August, 1873.
MILL SITE, MATAURA FALLS.
To be sold by public auction, at the Land Office, Invercargill, at 12 o’clock on Friday, the 29th August, 1873, the southernmost portion of the ledge of rock at the Mataura Falls, east side, containing one acre more or less.
MONDAY, 15th September, noon.
The undermentioned Town Sections will be sold by auction at the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon on Monday, the 15th day of September proximo.
