TENDERS
Tenders will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 8th July, 1873, for—Contract No. 3, supply and delivery of 3000 sleepers for Bluff and Invercargill Railway.
Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Railway Office, Invercargill.
Tenders to be indorsed Tender for Contract No. 3.
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

MISSING FRIENDS
Inquiries are annually made by friends at home for the following persons:—
THOMAS M’NAB, who originally emigrated to America, but returned to London in 1866. There married a woman named Dow, or Dor, and sailed for Australia. From thence, early in 1867 he is supposed to have sailed with a cargo of provisions for New Zealand. He was last heard of at Dunedin, and there spoke about going to South America.
DONALD M’KENZIE, who came originally from Culloden, Inverness, to New Zealand, and has not been heard of by his friends for many years.
The undersigned would be thankful for any information respecting these “Missing Friends.”

Notice is hereby given that the Mining Lease issued in favour of Messrs. Malaghan and Hogan, for section 1, block XV, Shotover, has been cancelled by the Government.

Tenders will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of 4th July, 1873, for Contract No. 742, for construction of three miles of light Railway between Riverton and Otautau.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the office of the District Engineer, Invercargill.
Tenders to be indorsed, “Otautau Railway, Tender for Contract No. 742.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

EXAMINATION OF TEACHERS
The half-yearly examination of Teachers and Candidates for employment under the Education Board will be held at the Education Office, Dunedin, upon the 11th and 12th days of July, 1873. Persons wishing to undergo examination are requested to give notice to me before Wednesday, the 9th of July. Copies of the Board’s regulations and other information may be obtained on application.
