CLUTHA District Road Board.—Notice to Ratepayers.

The Clutha District Road Board hereby notify that the Collector will call during the ensuing week upon all parties whose road rates for 1872-73 remain yet unpaid. After his visit, defaulters will be proceeded against without further notice.

NORTH TAIERI Road Board.—Voters’ lists for the Subdivisions of North Taieri and Wingatua are open for inspection by Ratepayers, at Mr. Wm. Couper’s house, Mosgiel, till the 30th April.

THE Corporation of Balclutha will receive separate Tenders, till noon of the 30th instant, for—

  1. Formation of permanent level, Clyde street, 28 chains.
  2. Supplying and carting 1000 yards metal.
  3. Breaking 1000 cubic yards metal.
  4. Spreading and boxing same, 40 feet by 6 inches.

Particulars, &c., at Town Surveyor’s Office, with whom tenders must be lodged.

One yellow cow, branded d (reversed) c off rump, tar marked above the brand.

One dark red and white spotted cow, wide horns, branded like JAA, indistinct, off rump, for trespassing on grass paddock, for which 5s 6d each are claimed for the trespass; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at East Taieri on Friday, the 2nd day of May, 1873, at twelve o’clock noon.

1 red and white heifer, branded G off rump; owner unknown; trespassing on Coal Creek run, for which one shilling per head is claimed, and in default of being released, the above heifer will be sold at the Public Pound, at Macraes, on Friday, the 9th day of May, 1873, at 12 o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 16th day of April, 1873, by Hugh Begg, West Taieri,

One yellow and white bullock, branded like the letters S and O or C on off rump, and blotch on off ribs; owner unknown, for trespassing in paddock and breaking fence, for which ten shillings damages is claimed, and in default of being released, the above bullock will be sold at the Public Pound at West Taieri, on Friday, the 9th day of May, 1873, at twelve o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 15th day of April, 1873, by Arthur Toms, Inspector of Nuisances,

1 Bay saddle mare, no visible brand; white spot under saddle, near side; near hind fetlock white; owner unknown; trespassing on streets and wandering in the town. No damage claimed; and in default of being released, the above mare will be sold at the Public Pound at Oamaru, on Friday, the 9th day of May, 1873, at 12 o’clock noon.

NOTICE.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between John Swan and Alfred Rutley, carrying on business at Brighton as Flax Dressers under the style or firm of Swan and Rutley, is this day dissolved by mutual consent.

The business will in future be carried on by Alfred Rutley, who will pay and receive all debts owing from and to the said partnership.

Dated at Dunedin, this 18th day of April, 1873.
